Parapsychology & Magic / Haunted America C2C April 9, 2018
Chief scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, Dean Radin has been engaged in consciousness research for nearly four decades. In the first half, he discussed how what has been considered magic over the centuries is starting to play a key role in the new frontiers of science. He defined magic as three different types of real practices-- divination (looking at crystal balls, throwing the I Ching etc.), force of will (manifesting intentions), and theurgy (God's work, invoking spirits). These ancient traditions about magic, he noted, actually represent such things as clairvoyance, precognition, psychokinesis, mediumship, and near-death experiences, which Radin has been studying scientifically for years, though not referring to as "magic."
He shared the results of recent double-blind experiments, in which people consumed chocolate and tea both "blessed" and non-blessed to see if there was any difference in mood between the two groups. In both cases, the people receiving the blessed items reported better moods, and among those, the ones who believed they got the blessed tea had the best moods of all, suggesting that "belief strongly modulates the force of intention," he cited. Radin also detailed the development of new types of random generators (used in their Global Consciousness Project) that are not based on 0s and 1s of bits but rather a quantum noise generator from 32 different channels.

With a Ph.D. in parapsychology as well as a doctorate in metaphysics from the University of Metaphysical Sciences, Logan Corelli has over seventeen years of experience investigating haunted locations across America. In the latter half, he described tales of grisly deaths and unsolved murders where the spirits of the dead are often left behind, as well as some of his own eerie experiences with ghosts and the paranormal. In one instance, he was physically attacked by an entity or force and knocked off his feet. It took place at an abandoned church, where one of his fellow investigators recorded an EVP earlier, warning the group that they shouldn't be there and that they were going to die.
At the church site, as he looked outside toward his car, he saw a small waist-high black figure peering into the vehicle, but when it saw it was being observed, it quickly darted away, he recalled. In a number of instances, entities or spirits have attached themselves to him or followed him home from investigations, Corelli disclosed. "At one time," he continued, "my house was almost as haunted as the places I was investigating." A manifestation that presented itself as a noise followed him around not only to his home, but workplace, and other locations he frequented. Other strange auditory phenomena associated with spirits in various cases included knocking, whistling, and coins falling, he added.
