15 Stats That Show Americans Are Drowning in 'Stuff'

Getting kids to clean up after themselves is a rather unpleasant, ongoing struggle for many parents today. If one’s kids are messy, it’s typically assumed that it’s because of a lack of parental will, i.e., that the parents’ failed to discipline their children.

I wouldn’t want to let parents completely off the hook here, but I will say that we often ignore contextual factors that also work against keeping a clean house, such as the busyness of modern life and… the fact that we simply own a lot more stuff than people in the past.

In America, many people spend a good portion of their free time accumulating possessions, and the rest of that time attempting to clean up those same possessions. Those with children spend many frustrating hours trying to coax their children to do the same.

Here are 15 stats gathered by Joshua Becker for Becoming Minimalist that help confirm the suspicion that Americans simply own too much stuff:

1. There are 300,000 items in the average American home (LA Times).

2. The average size of the American home has nearly tripled in size over the past 50 years (NPR).

3. And still, 1 out of every 10 Americans rent offsite storage—the fastest growing segment of the commercial real estate industry over the past four decades. (New York Times Magazine).

4. While 25% of people with two-car garages don’t have room to park cars inside them and 32% only have room for one vehicle. (U.S. Department of Energy).

5. The United States has upward of 50,000 storage facilities, more than five times the number of Starbucks. Currently, there is 7.3 square feet of self storage space for every man, woman and child in the nation. Thus, it is physically possible that every American could stand—all at the same time—under the total canopy of self storage roofing (SSA).

6. British research found that the average 10-year-old owns 238 toys but plays with just 12 daily (The Telegraph).

7. 3.1% of the world’s children live in America, but they own 40% of the toys consumed globally (UCLA).

8. The average American woman owns 30 outfits—one for every day of the month. In 1930, that figure was nine (Forbes).

9. The average American family spends $1,700 on clothes annually (Forbes).

10. While the average American throws away 65 pounds of clothing per year (Huffington Post).

11. Some reports indicate we consume twice as many material goods today as we did 50 years ago (The Story of Stuff).

12. Currently, the 12 percent of the world’s population that lives in North America and Western Europe account for 60 percent of private consumption spending, while the one-third living in South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa accounts for only 3.2 percent (Worldwatch Institute).

13. Americans spend more on shoes, jewelry, and watches ($100 billion) than on higher education (Psychology Today).

14. Over the course of our lifetime, we will spend a total of 3,680 hours or 153 days searching for misplaced items. The research found we lose up to nine items every day—or 198,743 in a lifetime. Phones, keys, sunglasses, and paperwork top the list (The Daily Mail).

15. Americans spend $1.2 trillion annually on nonessential goods—in other words, items they do not need (The Wall Street Journal).

As it has been said: we don’t possess things; they end up possessing us. Again, discipline and consistency on the part of parents are certainly needed when it comes to bringing up tidy children. But just as children become easily overwhelmed by too many toys, so also the same applies when they are confronted with a huge mess and told to “clean up.”

Raising children is difficult enough, and parents probably don’t need clutter working against them in this task. If they want tidy children, it's better if they own less stuff.

Stanford Study: Religious Teens Are Smarter (and More Conscientious and Cooperative)

No one is surprised when teenagers withdraw from their parents’ religious practice. It’s often looked upon as a rite of passage. But, according to a study from Stanford Graduate School of Education no one should be surprised either if their grades suffer. Adolescents who are committed to their religious beliefs do better academically than those who are religiously disengaged.

Why? The research suggests that religious communities help adolescents to cultivate two habits which are highly valued in education: conscientiousness and cooperation. As other scholars have observed:

“Both practices—church attendance and doing well in school— require commitment, diligence, and routine. The ritual practice of rising and going to church or mass, and so forth— whether compelled by one's own faith or one's parents' demands— commits a youth to a practice and routine, a skill that translates into tools needed for academic success”

Surprisingly, sociologists tend to ignore the role of religion in educational success. The author of the Stanford study, however, believes that this is a mistake. “The United States is a highly religious country, and religion is a powerful social force,” says Ilana Horwitz, a doctoral candidate at Stanford. “If we, as education scholars, are trying to understand adolescents in America, we should pay attention to this very important part of their life.”

This echoes the finding of the doyen of American sociology, Robert Putnam, who once observed that “faith communities in which people worship together are arguably the single most important repository of social capital in America... Churches provide an important incubator for civic skills, civic norms, community interests, and civic recruitment”

So why not for adolescents, as well? Half of American teenagers report that religious faith is “very” or “extremely” meaningful to them, and one in three teenagers prays at least once a day.

Horwitz interviewed 2,491 teenagers at public schools aged between 13 and 17. She grouped them in five categories from most to least religious: abiders, adapters, assenters, avoiders and atheists. Abiders attend religious services, pray on a regular basis, feel close to God, and emphasize the role of faith in their daily lives. On the other end of the scale are avoiders— those believe that a God exists but avoid religious involvement and broader issues of the relevance of religion for their life. (The atheists were a special case, as they are few and stigmatized in the US. Their scores resembled the avoiders in Horwitz’s study.)

Abiders, she found, earned significantly better grades on average than the avoiders. Abiders had an average GPA of 3.22, compared with 2.93 among avoiders. “Being religious helps adolescents in middle and high school because they are rewarded for being obedient and respectful and for having self-control,” she commented.

“Generally, kids who are religious drink less, have less sex, and are more closely supervised by their parents,” she continued. “These variables explained some of why religious kids do better in school. But my models showed there’s something above and beyond those factors that the survey data couldn’t explain.”

The answer emerged in face-to-face interviews. In sharing stories about their lives, she found, abiders were much more likely to express conscientiousness and a cooperative disposition than avoiders, who were more likely to be rebellious and lack self-discipline.

It’s important to note that this study show only that religious commitment is associated with academic success – not that it causes it. However, it shines a different light on other research which purports to show that religiosity correlates inversely with intelligence, ie, the more religious you are, the dumber you are. But the question raised by the Stanford research seems to be: so what if you’re so smart if you end up failing because you can't get out of bed in the morning?

We’ll find out. Horwitz’s next project is to see whether her abiders continue to succeed at university.

The Great Work / Alien Messages C2C April 28, 2018

Justin Deschamps has been a truth seeker all his life, studying physics, psychology, law, philosophy, and spirituality, and working to weave these seemingly separate bodies of information into a holistic tapestry of ever expanding knowledge. In the first half with Jimmy Church , Justin shared the goal of his work - to help himself and others become better truth-seekers, and in doing so, form a community of holistically minded individuals capable of creating world healing projects for the benefit of all life—what has been called The Great Work. Deschamps said his own awakening happened when he was looking to debunk cancer cures and found one that actually worked. At that time, he decided to live his life on "altruistic principles" and become a source and nexus for alternative information.

His podcast and website became the main methods for spreading the ideas that Deschamps was uncovering, but he pointed out that the internet has also become a place of countless false and manufactured sources of information. He believes that there are powers in charge of public discourse who have created a "systematic disruption" of the ability of people to think and discuss issues and ideas, which has resulted in a situation where "we can’t have a meeting of the minds, which is what communication is all about." In answer to caller Charles’ question about what people can do to improve the state of the world, Deschamps suggested that each person should first "get their own house in order" and then "learn how to communicate with people in a respectful way."

----------------------------
Certified hypnotherapist, abduction researcher and Director of CERO (Close Encounter Resource Organization) Yvonne Smith discussed stories from the last five years of her work as a hypnotherapist specializing in alien abduction. She has seen a shift or "urgency" in the messages received by the abductees from these beings as if something enormous is about to happen. Smith has been regressing and counseling abductees for over 25 years, and is convinced that the abduction phenomenon is real and is caused by some sort of extraterrestrial beings or intelligences because the accounts of her clients are "so startlingly similar."

Since 2011, Smith says that many of her clients have been separately telling her that they are receiving messages from their abductors that "something is coming" and they don’t know what to do about it. Some also see themselves in dreams leading large groups of people. They are told "'you have a job to do,' and when the time comes they will know what to do." The abductees have told Smith that what is coming is not clear, but could be in one of three categories: 1 - A chemical, biological or nuclear attack; 2- Some kind of natural disaster, such as an hurricane or earthquake; or 3 - UFO disclosure in an unusual way which might cause panic and unrest. A caller from Nevada named Bonnie described terrifying experiences involving an evil "doctor" and a strange trip into the desert where she saw a conveyor belt loaded with hundreds of dead bodies.

Multi-Dimensional Contact / Open Lines C2C April 27, 2018

Bestselling author, internationally known lecturer, minister, counselor, multiple near-death experiencer and UFO contactee, James Gilliland, joined Jimmy Church to discuss his ECETI Ranch (Enlightened Contact with ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence) in Washington State where he documents and shares amazing multi-dimensional contact phenomena. Gilliland recalled that he originally found the ranch property after he experienced a series of visions of the place while teaching healing classes in California. Eventually, "through a sequence of synchronistic events" Gilliland says he ended up at what was to become the ECETI Ranch. The area has long been an apparent nexus of paranormal and UFO events.

Gilliland claims that "two ley lines" cross the property and that this contributes to the extreme number of anomalous lights sighted on the land. He says that he has also seen Bigfoot-type entities on at least four occasions, and giant footprints are seen regularly. Some anomalous hair was found, which Gilliland had analyzed. The strands were three-and-a-half feet long and the study indicated that they were "silicon-based." He also believes that there is a great deal of government or intelligence interest in the ECETI property. He stated that he’s "had people here that are part of the secret space program and black projects" and that "they sometimes spill the beans" about secret programs. He stated that everyone is welcome on the property and that "people need to come up to the ranch and have their own experience."

----------------------------
During Open Lines, Ian called in from New York to relate his out-of-body experience with an apparent alien being. He claimed that he was apparently on some sort of spaceship on the Moon and saw a "little man" in a silvery spacesuit with a silver helmet. He said when the alien being locked eyes with him, he was immediately transported back into his body. Spike in Texas said that when he was young, he was "roughhousing" with other boys and a small metallic ball fell somehow fell out of his head. At the time, he didn’t know what it was, but now thinks it may have been some sort of alien implant. Patrick called in and said he was practically Gilliland’s neighbor at one point, but did not see anything strange at home. He did however, have a clear sighting of a UFO while piloting a private plane in the area. He had to fly around the shiny object in order to avoid a collision.

Albert from California recounted a creepy story of a visit to a haunted location during a film production. On the anniversary of a murder that he was told had occurred in the building, he heard strange and ominous whispers, which were also recorded on a video he recorded on his phone. Doug from New Jersey recalled a fond memory of hearing Art Bell for the first time during the "Mel’s Hole" shows in 1997. He also told a story of seeing a glowing lure that was used for night fishing leave the water, move onto land, and then float off through the trees "moving like a balloon that got away from a kid." He says it then cleared the trees and floated away.

Sound Weapons, Plastic Disaster & Black Holes C2C April 26, 2018

Investigative reporter Linda Moulton Howe discussed a recent report confirming serious neurological problems in US and Canadian diplomats assigned to the Cuban embassy in Havana and their possible cause. Linda played a recording of her interview with Douglas H. Smith, M. D., Professor of Neurosurgery and Director of the Center for Brain Injury and Repair, University of Pennsylvania. Smith said that whatever was causing the disturbances in the Embassy may have "selectively injured" the brain’s delicate network of nerve fibers and also resembled something like blunt-force trauma to the heads of victims. Linda guessed that the technology may have been in the ultrasound range above the confines of human hearing and broadcast into buildings from some remote location nearby. She also described the range of sound frequencies and known effects on the human body.

Next, she interviewed Boyan Slat, Founder and CEO of The Ocean Cleanup, which is a company that is attempting to clean the Pacific Ocean plastic gyre. The gyre is an area of floating plastic trash three times the size of Texas. The plastic is killing marine life at an alarming rate and also breaking down into microscopic pieces which end up in the food chain and in fish that humans eat. Slat says he has developed a system for gathering and then removing the floating trash using "long floating barriers to let the ocean currents do the hard work" which is then removed by a fleet of ships. Linda also mentioned a group at a UK university who have developed an enzyme that breaks down plastic drinking bottles into their original chemical components.

In the third hour, Linda talked to astrophysicist Michael D. Johnson about the first attempt to image the supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way. This will be done with a device that consists of a group of instruments called the Event Horizon telescope. What Johnson expects to see will be "sort of like a crescent moon" as the telescope will be seeing the effects of the black hole and not the object itself. The result could come as soon as the end of this year. In the last hour, Linda spoke about the present state of UFO research and observed that recently, audiences she sees at meetings and conferences "seem to be more and more educated and asking great questions." She described a box of anomalous items known as "Art's parts" which were strange metal samples sent to Art Bell many years ago and the amazing properties the artifacts seemed to exhibit.

ET Contacts

First-hour guest, researcher, author, and casting director Craig Campobasso talked about his UFO research, writing, and film work. Campobasso stated that when he was 26 years old, he had a "major spiritual awakening" which sparked his interest in UFOs and extraterrestrials. He announced the fourth book in his "Autobiography of an Extraterrestrial" series is about to be released, and that his award-winning short film "Stranger in the Pentagon" (based on the accounts of 1950s UFO contactee Frank Stranges) is in the planning stages of being turned into a feature film. Campobasso stated that he believes that Valiant Thor (the alien Stranges wrote about) has not left the Earth, but "is still here in his Victor class saucer" along with 186 others that orbit our planet.

Guns In America: Over 2 Million Defensive Gun Uses Every Year says CDC Unpublished Study

Firearms 'used by victims about 3.6 times as often as they're used offensively by criminals'
Every year, Americans use guns to defend themselves more than 2 million times, according to an unpublished study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that focused on data gathered in 1996, 1997 and 1998.

The findings show that use of guns for self-defense happens more frequently than criminal use of firearms.

During his Monday broadcast, talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh said “it’s typical” that the CDC didn’t go public with the eye-opening findings.

“The CDC figures this does not further the leftist agenda,” Limbaugh said, “so they keep it secret, but it has been uncovered.”

Since the 1990s, Florida State University criminologist Gary Kleck and partner Marc Gertz have claimed as many as 2.2 million Americans use firearms to defend themselves every year. While critics have claimed Kleck’s estimates were too high, he has frequently stated that they provide no scientific evidence to counter his findings.

Now it’s revealed that the unpublished CDC study in the 1990s found 2.46 million defensive gun uses, or DGUs, per year.

Kleck provides the following summary of the CDC findings:

In 1996, 1997, and 1998, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) conducted large-scale national surveys asking about defensive gun use (DGU). They never released the findings, or even acknowledged they had studied the topic. I obtained the unpublished raw data and computed the prevalence of DGU. CDC’s findings indicated that an average of 2.46 million U.S. adults used a gun for self-defense in each of the years from 1996 through 1998 – almost exactly confirming the estimate for 1992 of Kleck and Gertz (1995). Possible reasons for CDC’s suppression of these findings are discussed.

On April 20, Kleck said 2.46 million DGUs every year “[implies] that guns were used defensively by victims about 3.6 times as often as they were used offensively by criminals.”

The CDC survey asked about DGUs in the ’90s and included the following question: “During the last 12 months, have you confronted another person with a firearm, even if you did not fire it, to protect yourself, your property, or someone else?”

Respondents were asked not to include scenarios in which they used a gun as part of their job, such as in policing, or for hunting purposes.

Kleck said the “CDC never reported the results of those surveys, does not report on their website any estimates of DGU frequency, and does not even acknowledge that they ever asked about the topic in any of their surveys.”

National Public Radio reported on April 13 that a Harvard University analysis shows “people defended themselves with a gun in nearly 0.9 percent of crimes from 2007 to 2011.”

The NPR report cited Harvard researcher David Hemenway, who claims the risk of possessing firearms outweighs the benefit of having a gun for self-defense purposes.

“The average person … has basically no chance in their lifetime ever to use a gun in self-defense,” Hemenway told Robin Young of “Here & Now.” “But … every day, they have a chance to use the gun inappropriately. They have a chance, they get angry. They get scared.”

Golden State Killer / Strategic Sorcery C2C April 25, 2018

Through exhaustive research of case files and interviews, Keith Komos has meticulously chronicled the brutal crimes committed by arguably the most elusive serial killer of the twentieth century - a psychopath and predator so steeped in criminal culture and law enforcement that a suspect has only just been arrested - some forty years after his infamous spree. The suspect was dubbed the "Golden State Killer" by the press. In the first half, Komos described his experience in the technology field to apply modern scientific techniques to help resolve cold cases, and those used to catch suspect Joseph DeAngelo. One of the main tools used to track DeAngelo was DNA evidence, which Komos indicated has advanced to the point that it can "now show actual visual characteristics of the person you’re looking for. This, combined with more classic police techniques, contributed to the arrest.

DeAngelo was a police officer for part of the duration of his alleged crimes, and Komos remarked that this definitely kept him from being caught, since he would adapt his techniques to stay ahead of law enforcement. The accused killer had a stint in the Navy and raised a family. Komos said that two of DeAngelo’s three children are currently cooperating with the investigation. The suspect would sometimes call his victims before and after his crimes, in one case, some 25 years after the fact, and showing military training, was reported to prowl a victim’s home for hours. Many of the events in the timeline of DeAngelo’s life and the crimes of the suspect match up favorably, said Komos. He added that the suspect "got off on control and the fear he could instill in his victims."

With 25 years of study and practice in practical magic, Jason Miller teaches strategic sorcery to diverse clientele including professionals from business, high finance, academia and individuals from all walks of life. He discussed how to use spells and reversal magic to engineer change and tip the scales of fate in one's favor, including creating protection from curses and bad luck. Miller recalled that he had a mild accident as a child which changed his outlook on the world and set him on a path of discovery into the esoteric and magical. He defines sorcery as "someone who is affecting the world or attempting to at least by ritual."

Miller believes that "magic is like electricity- we can use it to do wonderful things and we can use it to do horrible things." He explained that spells or curses are designed to provoke a particular outcome, but that usually the effect will appear as coincidence, even though it ultimately had the desired effect. Miller also offered some rules for spell casting, such as aiming for something definite and measurable (such as "I will lose 30 pounds" instead of "I will lose weight.") He also suggested choosing goals that are difficult, but not impossible. The object is to aim high. He also thinks that interest in magic and sorcery is on the rise as people "are actively seeking out the enchantment of the world" because "something is lacking in the scientific and materialist worldview."

Autoimmune Disease / Natural Disasters C2C April 24, 2018

In the first half, holistic health care professional, Dr. R.E. Tent addressed the history of the relationship between cancer and the polio vaccine, and why he believes the epidemic of autoimmune diseases plaguing humans is the result of overexposure to various viruses. Tent recalled that his mother "fired the doctor" who treated him as a child, and proceeded to heal Trent from a debilitating disease by herself. His research indicates that polio vaccines introduced in the 1950s were dangerous because they had adulterants, DNA and other diseases from the animals that were used to grow them, and in some cases, actually contained active polio viruses. He also believes that the vaccines precipitated "a cancer explosion" in the generation who were exposed to them.

Trent suggested a number of anti-cancer dietary guidelines, such as taking mega-doses of vitamin D, cumin or tumeric, drinking green tea, cutting back on processed sugar, and eating broccoli and kale. He also believes that having the proper oils and fats in your system, as well as a high amount of vitamin C, prevents most disease by allowing the immune system to perform at its best. Trent doubts that a cure for cancer will ever be found, because, he said, "there is more money in trying to control it." During the last hour, Trent addressed callers’ health questions and offered solutions.

----------------------------
Research Associate at the Seismological Laboratory of Caltech, Dr. Lucy Jones is known as the "Earthquake Lady." In the second half, she discussed her decades of earthquake research, as well as the history of natural disasters – from Pompeii to the California floods of 1862 to the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami, and how we should prepare for those to come. Jones’ father was a scientist in the Apollo program, which inspired her to go into the sciences as a career. Jones was the instigator of an earthquake awareness and preparedness project called "The Great Shakeout," which has spread worldwide and included over 55 million people. She says there is no real way to predict big earthquakes because "anything that happens before a small earthquake also happens before a big earthquake."

The source of a disaster can come from many natural disruptions, and Jones pointed out that "every significant city has a ‘big one’ in their future," be they from floods, storms, wildfires, or earthquakes. She said that volcanic eruptions are relatively easy to predict, since days, or even months before an event, there are many telltale signs, such as ground movement or the sudden release of gasses, which indicate that the underground magma is beginning to move. Some earthquakes are so violent that Jones says they can "exceed the force of gravity," and recalled one temblor in Santa Cruz, California where a grand piano was found upside down. She concluded that in any given disaster, most people will survive, but the question is how many would perish in the aftermath due to lack of preparedness.

Financial Cycles / Radical Brilliance C2C April 23, 2018

In the first half, monetary expert Craig R. Smith discussed how government policies are affecting market cycles, what he sees for the near future and the long term, and how vital it is to be prepared for the unexpected in today's fragile world. He contends that the recent passage of the $1.3 trillion Omnibus spending bill (which funds the federal government until Sept. 30, 2018) marks the beginning of the end for the American economy, as the deficit for this year will rise to $800 billion. Starting in 2020, we're going to run trillion dollar deficits for years to come, he continued, adding that the global debt is now higher than it was during the financial crisis in 2007.

"We have to go through a global reset," he warned, and this will likely include a big drop in the stock market accompanied by a period of high inflation. He predicts that this crisis will hit around the first quarter of 2020 when America will no longer be able to finance its ballooning debt. He cautioned that the US "petro-dollar," which has served as the world's reserve currency since the 1970s, is now facing competition from China's new "petro-yuan." He also was critical of funds that aren't backed by anything material like cryptocurrency, which he believes is going to fail.

Arjuna Ardagh has traveled the world training more than 13,000 coaches to facilitate "awakening" of who they really are, beyond endless thought and reactive feeling. In the latter half, he shared ways in which people can achieve a kind of brilliance-- living in a continual state of fulfillment and energy. He interviewed over 400 such people to discover what they had in common. He found they had a positivity and a vision of something they were moving toward. Radical brilliance, he explained, has to do with becoming a vehicle for the evolution of humanity, and people's most amazing ideas often come "through them" rather than "from" them.

He outlined how four different co-existing phases give rise to brilliance, such as the movement of awakening (something beyond the limits of your mind) into creative flow, and intention into accomplishment. Ardagh pointed out that practical factors such as diet and supplements can affect peak brain performance, and that prayer, directed to a mysterious force or something bigger than yourself, can have beneficial effects. He also noted that misfortune and adversity can be turned around and work in a person's favor in terms of self-reliance, and accessing wisdom beyond the personal.

Mysterious Disappearances / Cellular Memories C2C April 22, 2018

David Paulides has been researching mysterious disappearances in U.S. national parks for over a decade with cases having eerie similarities. In the first half, he joined George Knapp for an update on his recent investigations, including a number of instances where skiers have inexplicably gone missing, both current and in the past. 21-year-old Grant Cox, just released from the military in 1947, went skiing at Sugar Bowl Ski Lodge in California and vanished without a trace. A second search was done after the snow melted, and there was no sign of his ski poles or any of his equipment. Disappearing in 1988 in Rocky Mountain National Park, 27-year-old German tourist Rudi Moder also went missing while skiing. A soldier, he'd received advanced mountaineering and high altitude training while in the German military. A search found his "food cave" and pack but no fresh tracks. The next summer, Paulides recounted, another search was conducted, but the team found no trace, though oddly they heard "1942 German sonar-type sounds near Lulu mountain."

The strange disappearances strike an inordinate number of those with German heritage, he cited, including a group of physicists who were visiting the US. Recent cases of skiers disappearing, include Toronto fire captain Danny Filippidis, who vanished earlier this year while skiing at Whiteface Mountain in New York. He resurfaced in Sacramento, with no memory of his whereabouts from February 7th to the 13th. German businessman, Karl Haub, disappeared last month while skiing on the Matterhorn. A billionaire, "you know they threw every resource in the book trying to find him, and they didn't," Paulides reported.

---------------------------
Medical intuitive and author Sherry Anshara followed in the latter half. She discussed her near-death-experiences (NDEs) which helped her develop the Anshara Method - a process that reveals how cellular memories often hold the root cause of symptoms or problems. During one of her NDEs, after a car mishap, she ended up 15 feet underwater in Connecticut. She found herself with twelve separate beings, who communicated with her telepathically, informing her that she had to return to her physical existence, as she had a "contract," and that she would be able to teach people how to heal themselves.

The body is a continuum-- there is no such thing as a past life, only the moment, she declared. "One of the tools I teach is NEO-- non-emotional observer," she continued, as it's the "emotional body" that makes us sick-- I call it the "issue in the tissues"-- traumas or incidents that people may hold onto from an early age, perhaps subconsciously. Patients are often referred to her by medical professionals, she said. While she "can see inside their bodies," Anshara does't give them answers-- her methodology helps patients get to the core of the problems themselves in a short period of time, she explained. During the call-in portion, she demonstrated how she works with clients.

Enfield Poltergeist / My Father, the Psychic C2C April 21, 2018

Roz Morris was one of the first reporters to examine the case of the Enfield Poltergeist in which seemingly supernatural activity involving sisters, Margaret and Janet Hodgson, took place at an English home between 1977 and 1979. Witnesses reported seeing furniture moving on its own accord, objects thrown across the room, and the sisters levitating several feet off the ground. Morris, along with Richard Grosse, son of the chief investigator of the case, joined guest host Dave Schrader  to discuss what their research uncovered.

Morris admitted it was a slow news day at BBC Radio when she was assigned to cover the story after it had received front page treatment in the Daily Mirror. "I must say it was extremely strange right from the start, I found the whole thing very strange," she said. Morris claimed to have heard something crashing upstairs while the sisters were asleep and found a chair had moved across the room, possibly on its own. She also recorded the knocking sounds and the voice which would emanate from Janet. "At first [the voice] was very hostile and didn't want to talk, and then eventually it did start to talk," Morris recalled, noting it was the voice of someone who died in the house.
Dave played audio of the voice. Grosse revealed his father had a recording of the entity calling him by name. Specialist were brought in to debunk the voice and several tests revealed it was not coming from Janet. "It's frankly absurd to think an 11-year-old girl can go on and speak like this," he said. According to Grosse, throughout the 18 months of manifestation, no one could come with a practical explanation for the strange events. "There comes a time when you, sort of, run out of potential answers and you actually have to turn around and say... it happened," he asserted.

------------------------------------------------
During the latter half of the program, Philip Smith talked about his life growing up with a psychic healer father who used his remarkable abilities to heal the sick and talk to spirits. "He was as surprised by his abilities as everybody else, and he wanted to show the people that he wasn't crazy, that this was real... he wanted to help people," Smith said. He described how his father discovered he could heal, curing patients of heart disease, cancer, and other ailments by the mere touch of his hands.
He had a whole of team spirit doctors that would work with him from the other side when patients came to him, Smith continued, noting his father kept audio recordings of his healing sessions. Smith shared details from a trip to Europe where he became violently ill, and his father was able to remotely locate and heal him. "If I was ever ill... it got better pretty quickly," he said. Smith also recalled when he was a teen and tried to hide his marijuana stash from his father by burying it in a hole in the backyard. The next day Smith found the bag on his desk as a reminder from his father that he could not hide things from him.

The Fear Response / Open Lines C2C April 20, 2018

Sociologist Margee Kerr moonlights at one of America's scariest and most popular haunted houses. She has seen grown men cry and push their loved ones aside as they run away in terror. And she's kept careful notes on what triggers these responses and why. She joined guest host Dave Schrader to discuss the surprising results from her studiy of fear — what it means, how it works, and what it can do for us.

In her quest to take a comprehensive look at the physical, psychological, and existential aspects of fear, Kerr visited haunted house attractions around the world, skydived, experienced isolation in a prison cell at a haunted penitentiary, and journeyed to the Aokigahara Suicide Forest in Japan. "People like doing scary things... it's an opportunity for self-discovery," she said.
Fear is a universal human experience that is different for every person, Kerr continued, noting the same stimulus can produce different reactions. These differences reflect an individual's past experiences and genetic stress sensitivities, she added. "For people who go into a situation looking to get scared, it can be cathartic and people do feel better afterwards," Kerr revealed. The fear response can also create a sense of 'bondedness' in couples who have a close relationship. However, if there is an underlying distrust between two people, it can increase defensive behaviors, she explained.

During Open Lines, Brendan in Seattle recounted a frightening sleep paralysis event in which he felt a tingle on the back of his head, heard scratching in the wall next to his bed, then watched as a grey alien-looking entity emerged into his bedroom. "This translucent figure kind of pushed its head through the wall and startled me... they're typically standing on the floor over me," he said, noting there was another translucent figure by the bed. Brendan admitted he threatened to kill them, his roommate heard the noise and came in to check on him to find no figures but the bedroom unnaturally cold.

Daniel from Tulsa told Dave about the time he survived a bear attack. Daniel reported he was living in Alaska and heading to his favorite fishing spot when he accidentally frightened a bear. The bear charged, Daniel stood his ground and fired a gun in front of its face to scare it away. "He took a chunk out of the back of my leg with a claw," Daniel said. Nicole in Sacramento believes she has been experiencing bilocation—momentarily appearing and disappearing at certain places. She shared incidents from her home and gym that may indicate some strangeness is happening. Nicole wondered if she could learn to consciously control it.

Art Bell Tribute Show C2C April 19, 2018

C2C AM and George Noory presented a special tribute to Art Bell, with surprise guests throughout the night, and classic audio clips. The evening kicked off with Kraig Kitchin, who was president of Premiere Radio at the time it acquired C2C. Art's single-handed ability to explore the unexplained was what won him over, said Kitchin, along with his immense curiosity, and ability to connect everybody from learned scientists to the common man. A radio executive, Alan Corbeth, recalled hearing Art Bell's overnight radio show for the first time on KDWN in Las Vegas, He eventually became his business partner and helped build the show into syndication as it began to focus on the paranormal and unusual.

Whitley Strieber reported on attending Art's small private funeral earlier in the day in Pahrump. "It was a very lovely simple ceremony," he said, with mostly local people, though Dannion Brinkley, and Bob Crane were also in attendance. "Airyn Bell, Art's wife spoke, and it was the most lovely, courageous thing I've heard in a very long time," he remarked. Whitley also addressed the mourners, describing Art as "a man who freed millions of minds and made the world better in an absolutely unique and original way."

Ed Dames talked about the first time he appeared on Coast to Coast with Art Bell, and how they grew to become friends. Mike Bara recalled how Art wanted him to come on the air after a mutual friend's heart attack to discuss the possibility that the cardiac issues were related to a nefarious plot. George Knapp detailed how the news broke on Friday about Art's death, and also recounted being a guest on Art's show in the very early years, along with other residents of Southern Nevada including Bob Lazar, John Lear, and Robert Bigelow.

Linda Moulton Howe spoke about first meeting Art in 1991, and then working together on a radio show that explored earth mysteries and UFOs called Area 2000 (the show eventually morphed into "Dreamland"). Art was a great teacher particularly when it came to radio, Linda commented, adding that about eight years ago, she visited Art and his family in Pahrump, and saw first hand some of the mysterious bismuth-magnesium metal, known as "Art's Parts"-- said to be collected from the Roswell crash site.

Dannion Brinkley recalled his close friendship with Art and how grateful he was when Art conducted an on-air healing/prayer experiment on his behalf when he was about to have major surgery. Webmaster Lex Lonehood shared an amusing account of the first time he spoke with Art Bell, and Bryce Zabel talked about casting Art to appear in an episode of the NBC TV series, Dark Skies . During the night, callers also shared their remembrances, and a variety of riveting Art Bell audio segments were featured including the Area 51 pilot, JC Webster, the Super Glue incident, Father Malachi Martin, Mel's Hole, and Ramona's death. The tribute concluded with Crystal Gayle's Midnight in the Desert.

PedoGate: Canadian UN Worker Arrested in Nepal, Trudeau's Peter Dalglish Connections

Former United Nations worker Peter Dalglish was arrested in Nepal on suspicion of child exploitation. Dalglish was given various awards by the Canadian government, and had several high-level connections in Canada. In 1994, former PM Pierre Trudeau directly appointed Dalglish as the first director of Youth Service Canada, the Government of Canada’s civilian youth corps. While his social media accounts have been scrubbed, photos of Dalglish have been saved backing up his connection to the Trudeau family. One photo features the now arrested UN worker with current Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

While a second, older, photo also appears to show Dalglish in 1994 with Justin's father, former PM Pierre Trudeau. Further contributing to the theory that Dalglish was potentially part of a wider trafficking ring connected to Canadian politicians are parallels to another case of Canadian businessman and convicted child abuser Fenwick Macintosh, who also operating in the Canadian maritimes, with several connections to high-level politicians, evaded punishment in the Canadian court system for years for his crimes, until he was also arrested and promptly convicted in Nepal.

Project Paperclip / John Dee & the Occult C2C April 18, 2018

In the first half, Professor Brian E. Crim, an expert in the history of 20th-century warfare, shared details of Operation Paperclip, which incorporated ex-Nazis into the American military-industrial complex. Conceived in the final months of WWII, Paperclip exploited Germany's scientific and technical infrastructure for the benefit of America's defense, and later commercial interests. While introduced as a two-year program in 1945, it survived under different names all the way up until the 1970s, he noted, adding that the Soviets had a similar operation importing German scientists. The Germans were about five years ahead of the US regarding rocket technology, said Crim, so that was part of the urgency and motivation for the project.

Wernher von Braun became one of the best-known scientists that came from Paperclip and was instrumental in developing the ballistic missile program-- his team was later assimilated into NASA. von Braun, said Crim, "was custom made for the American military-industrial complex," skilled at turning a blueprint into a working device. After Paperclip became known to the US public, there was a widespread backlash-- Albert Einstein, for instance, penned a New York Times editorial condemning the program. Bureaucrats, Crim noted, weren't necessarily opposed to exploiting the scientists, but were appalled at the idea that they could earn US citizenship.

------------------------
In the latter half, author, strategist, and researcher, Jason Louv discussed the world of spiritual, occult and esoteric traditions. While Western magic and Eastern mysticism have their different aims, he recommended combining the two approaches, by manifesting your life goals (Western) while practicing meditation (Eastern), so you have the insight to understand that the material world isn't all there is. In particular, he talked about how the work of John Dee, one of history's most celebrated occultists, has helped shape the modern world through his focus on religious freedom.

When Dee, a 16th-century advisor to Queen Elizabeth I, linked up with the talented medium Edward Kelly, a ne'er do well who had his ears cut off for forgery, they began a series of conversations with angels by using magical rituals and scrying. Starting with communications from archangels Michael and Gabriel, they advanced to bizarre and profound psychedelic apparitions, Louv recounted, like "giants with suns for heads and pillars of brass for legs... they see angels that are just full of wings upon wings, and angels with multiple pupils in each eye. At one point, they even see God...What they saw was a gigantic whale covered with eyes from head to toe. The mouth of which emitted this tremendous colossal howling." From these encounters, they learned the "Enochian language," said to be spoken by angels, and humanity, before the fall of Eden.

Transhumanism & Giants / Precognitive Cancer Dreams C2C April 17, 2018

In the first half, author and researcher Steve Quayle discussed his new bombshell book Terminated (view cover image) which deals with robotics in ancient history, accessing genetic memory from samples of ancient DNA, and demonic entities that inhabit DNA. The goal of transhumanism, Quayle suggested, is to build a better human being without any constraints, and he believes this could ultimately destroy humanity as we know it. The development of super-soldiers may already be happening-- last week, Syria's ambassador described the fighting and killing of American super-soldiers said to be over 8' 1" ft. in height, he reported.

"My contention," he said, "is that those creating these things in the lab have viable extracted DNA from the biblical giants, and that's what we're seeing." The spirits of giants or fallen angels may possess mechanical or AI entities, he continued, citing the ancient example of the Colossus of Rhodes. According to Quayle, giant cannibalistic beings that will be regenerated or brought out of suspended animation can only be killed by solid copper bullets or smoke grenades.

-----------------------------
Larry Burk, M.D. specializes in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), hypnosis, and dreamwork. Kathleen O'Keefe-Kanavos has spent years studying and teaching about dreams. A three-time breast cancer survivor whose premonitory dreams diagnosed her cancer, she credits her survival to conventional treatment combined with her dreams as a diagnostic tool. In the latter half, they discussed Burk's study published in a medical journal connecting accurate precognitive dreams with the diagnosis of various cancers. In O'Keefe-Kanavos' case, a hooded monk appeared in a dream, emphatically telling her that only by undergoing exploratory surgery would her cancer be revealed. This turned out to be correct, and subsequently, the monk and additional figures appeared as spirit guides for her, offering her further helpful health advice.

Burk outlined several possibilities for the precognitive warning dreams. One is that the person is in denial about health symptoms they're already experiencing; another is that while no signs are present, neurotransmitters could be sending signals to the brain that something is amiss; a third explanation posits an intuitive process outside current scientific understanding. He suggested paying closer attention to one's dreams and keeping a dream diary (dreamscloud.com is an online resource he recommends for sharing your dreams). A caller named Sharon reported a set of repetitive dreams that ended up saving her from cancer. In the dreams, she visited an art school to request a plaster cast of her leg for an upcoming prosthesis. Though there was nothing wrong with her leg, she did spot a very tiny mole on it. After much difficulty, she convinced her dermatologist to remove it, and it was found to be a highly malignant melanoma.

MLK Assassination/ Ancient Aliens & Hybrids C2C April 16, 2018

In the first half, investigative researchers Stuart Wexler and Larry Hancock made the case that behind Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination was a long-simmering conspiracy orchestrated by racist terrorists. The original FBI investigation and the later House Select Committee investigation "turned up some fascinating leads and suspects that could be taken a lot further," said Hancock, and "we were...amazed that their investigation hadn't gone nearly as far as it should have." James Earl Ray may have pursued a bounty offer he heard about when he was in prison but certainly was not the mastermind behind the assassination, they indicated.

While at first, the FBI suspected a conspiracy, because of the mass riots taking place after King's death, they likely felt pressure to "close down open questions and give a nice well-packaged answer" in order to pacify the country, Wexler explained. According to their research, a network of racist militants led by Sam Bowers, head of the White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan of Mississippi (the group that was responsible for the Mississippi Burning murders) sought to kill King, and they were the ones who had put out a bounty on him. As a provocative act of violence to advance a political cause, King's assassination can be likened to the acts of terrorism and religious radicalism we've seen in recent years, the two researchers concurred.

------------------------
In the latter half, scholar of ancient cultures, Bruce Fenton, detailed evidence which he believes shows that ancient aliens visited this world almost 800,000 years ago, creating a race of hybrids by genetically altering primitive hominids. Around this time, a spaceship of 50,000 Pleiadian colonists was "crystallized" by an attacking group of Reptilians living underground, he suggested, and the remnants of the liquefied ship rained down on Earth in the form of anomalous spheres, which have been discovered in South Australia.

After visiting a Stargate site in South America, Fenton's wife Daniella, a shaman and psychic medium, started having strange contact experiences in which she saw 7-ft. tall bluish aliens and hybrids, as well as ancient Mayans, he recounted. Eventually, she found herself inhabiting the body of a woman living in 7th century Palenque, in which alien-human hybrids were the rulers of the Mayan society. Fenton also talked about how the Pleiadian forces on Earth are currently pushing back against the demonic Draco (Reptilian) types. The beneficent "Pleiadian Alliance Control," he added, "is an alliance of many, many beings all coming through a wormhole in the Pleiadian star cluster."

UFO Abduction Mystery / Tech & Erosion of Democracy C2C April 15, 2018

In the first half, UFO investigative writer and artist Peter Robbins joined George Knapp to discuss his life studying UFOs, and the sighting he had as a teen that changed his world forever. During the 1960s, Robbins, age 14, and his sister Helen, 12, witnessed five silvery-white disc-shaped objects in a military-type V formation. The craft were metallic and close enough that they could make out detailing on them. Robbins and his sister (who grew up to become the punk rock performer Helen Wheels) suppressed their memories of the event but were able to share them with each other 14 years later.

She described seeing a beam of blue light shoot down from one of the ships and envelope Peter, but her next memories were fragmented. After undergoing hypnotic regression with Budd Hopkins (whom Robbins ended up working with for a number of years at his Intruders Foundation), she recalled "missing time" when she was aboard a craft with "little doctors with big heads and big black eyes, who spoke to me in my head." Her description pre-dated Hopkins first book at a time before "the Greys" were better known. He also talked about his work on the book, Left at East Gate, delving into the Rendlesham Forest UFO Incident, and some of its attendant controversies. For more on Robbins, view this recent article published on Ithaca.com.

--------------------------
In the latter half, Jamie Bartlett, director of social media analysis at the UK think-tank Demos, reported on how data breach scandals around companies like Facebook and Cambridge Analytica affect our democracy. He argued that through our embrace of big tech, the building blocks of democracy are slowly being removed, and civil society weakened. Living in a digital age with more information, connectivity, and devices it was thought that "we would make better, wiser, more rational decisions," but this Bartlett pointed out, "does not seem to be bearing fruit." People on both the right and the left have been less rational, and more emotional and anger-prone, he cited.

Cambridge Analytica, he continued, is just one of many companies that are collecting data about us without our general awareness. Cambridge had some 5,000 individual data points about each of the millions of Facebook users they were able to access. Bartlett sounded a further note of caution related to the multitude of household devices being turned into connected "data collection machines," further eroding privacy. He envisioned a time when someone might just consult an AI helper that has amassed data about them as to who they should vote for in an election that would be in their best interests.

Titanic Conspiracy / Pictographic Mysteries C2C April 14, 2018

In the first half of the show, attorney and researcher of mysteries Gordon James Gianninoto joined guest host Connie Willis to discuss the 106th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. According to Gianninoto, the sunken vessel at the bottom of the Atlantic is not Titanic but a severely damaged sister ship called Olympic. "The Titanic never sank... there is so much evidence," he said. On its fifth voyage the Olympic suffered an at-fault collision with British naval cruiser HMS Hawke, Gianninoto reported. Due to financial pressure and likelihood of an impending war, a decision was made to place the Olympic's nameplate on the almost finished Titanic and vice versa, he added.

The initial "Titanic" crew thought the name change was bad luck and that White Star Line was going to sink the Olympic for insurance money, Gianninoto continued, noting the company raised its insurance on the vessel to $12 million and JP Morgan had removed expensive statues placed onboard. A ship called the Californian was sent to where "Titanic" was supposed to go down so crew and passengers could be rescued but the ship was 13 miles off course, Gianninoto disclosed. More than 1,500 people went down before another rescue ship made it to the area. The vessel lying two miles below the surface is the Olympic, not Titanic, and video footage of the wreckage proves it, Gianninoto suggested. Black paint is peeling off revealing gray paint (only Olympic had been painted gray), and letters which spell Olympic can be seen underneath a rusting "Titanic" nameplate, he revealed.
------------------------------------------------

During the latter part of the program, Mitchel Townsend detailed how his research into Bigfoot led him to mysterious rocks he calls "pictographic stones." Townsend believes the rocks show depictions of organisms not classified on this planet, ships, transportation networks, and star charts of distant solar systems (Related Images). Townsend described how he felt called to survey a specific river area where he discovered luminous stones. "I noticed that there was what I felt were rocks glowing... they looked to me like they actually had some kind of energy or aura coming off these stones," he said, noting the rocks also had unusual markings on them.

Samples sent to various university departments were unable to be identified, Townsend reported. His own examination uncovered patterns with common shapes and themes, but an unexpected visitation revealed much more. According to Townsend, a light organism came down from a vehicle hovering over his house one night and rearranged the stones. There was a message in English which read, "We are coming," he said. Townsend believes the artifacts are data chips manipulated into rock which contain vast amounts of information. "They are multi-level holographic images that have been carved into these stones and printed pictographically into the subsurface porosity of these stones," he explained. Townsend admitted he needs expensive scientific equipment in order to decipher the messages these rocks contain.

Art Bell dead at 72, Longtime Paranormal Radio Host of Coast To Coast AM

Longtime radio host Art Bell, whose paranormal-themed show “Coast to Coast AM” was nationally syndicated, died Friday at his Nevada home, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. He was 72.

The Nye County Sheriff’s Office announced Bell’s death.
Bell’s show was broadcast on approximately 500 North American radio stations during its peak in the 1990s. Bell’s program aired from his hometown of Pahrump before he left the late-night show in 2002. He had a brief stint on SiriusXM satellite radio in 2013, the Review-Journal reported.
Bell was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina, on June 17, 1945. He was a medic during the Vietnam War.
According to the Coast to Coast AM website, Bell was an FCC licensed radio technician at age 13. The website also said that Bell set a Guinness World Record for a solo broadcast marathon, at more than 116 hours, while working as a DJ on KSBK in Okinawa, Japan. That record has since been broken; the current mark of 205 hours, 2 minutes, 54 seconds was set in 2016 by Stefano Venneri on Radio BBSI in Alessandria, Italy, Guinness said on its website.

Watch: Former Head Of British Armed Forces In Iraq Tells Truth About Syria, Is Cut Off By Sky News

While every politician in the world and their mainstream media lackeys are chomping at the bit to "unleash hell" on Assad and Syria, there are some that are willing to question the "Assad chemically attacked his own people and needs to be punished" narrative.

Liberty Blitzkrieg's Mike Krieger  scoffed at the idea of Assad gassing his own people...
"When your enemy is nearly defeated, and final victory is at hand; gas your own people so that nations greater than yours will intervene and destroy you." - Sun Tzu, The Art of War (Page: Never!)
Ron Paul thinks its "nonsense"...
“The way the people that perpetuate these false flags [sic] say that Assad is gassing his own people, at the same time, he’s winning the war and the people are flocking back in to go to the territories that he has returned to the government of Syria,” explained Paul.
“But, nevertheless, he’s out there gassing his own people, which makes no sense whatsoever and fewer and fewer people are believing this.”
“This whole idea that all of a sudden Assad’s gassing his own people, I think, is total nonsense.”
And RT spoke about the Russian claims with Lord Alan West, a retired officer of the British Royal Navy. He said he had strong reservations about taking allegations against Damascus at face value, because it didn’t make much military sense.
It seems to be utterly ludicrous for the military that is in the process of taking over an area to go and do something with chemical weapons, which will draw the wrath of the larger enemy down upon them,” he said.
“If I was advising the opponents of [Syrian President Bashar] Assad, I would be delighted to kill a few people there. Let’s face it, [the insurgents] don’t care if they kill women and children.”
I am not willing to accept tweets. We need to see incontrovertible truth about what has happened there and make a decision on that basis,” he added.
But, to confirm the fact that the propaganda-pushed 'Assad-is-bad' narrative is all that is allowed, when General Jonathan Shaw, the former Commander of British Armed Forces in Iraq, dares to go 'off script' while being interviewed by Sky News, he is abruptly cut off...

Shaw, 59, whose 30-year career spanned from the Falklands to Kosovo to commanding the UK forces in Iraq in 2006, can by no means be described as a Kremlin stooge, and, even in a previous response within the same exchange, he accused Moscow of “muddying the waters.”

His dissention from the official Western elites line, which declares that Assad was “highly likely” to be responsible for the April 7 attack, was uploaded to social media and shared thousands of times in outrage.

Here's what General Shaw was saying before he was so rudely interrupted...
"...the debate that seems to be missing from all this - and this was mentioned by the [Russian] ambassador - is what possible motive might Syria have to launch a chemical attack at this time and in this place...
The Syrians are winning, don't take my word for it, take the American military's word for it. General Vogel, the head of CENTCOM, said to Congress the other day that 'Assad has won this war and we need to face that', and the tweet by Trump last week that 'America had finished with ISIS and were going to pull out very soon'...
and then suddenly you get these accusations of a chemical attack..."
CUT OFF...
The message is clear - stick to the script, or get cut off!

The 'BZ Toxin' Used In Skripal Poisoning; US/UK-Produced, Not Russian According to Independent Swiss Lab

Somebody has some explaining to do... or did the Syrian airstrikes just 'distract' the citizenry from the reality surrounding the Skripal poisoning.

Remember how we were told my the politicians (not the scientists) that a deadly Novichok nerve agent - produced by Russia - was used in the attempted assassination of the Skripals? Remember the 50 questions (here and here) we had surrounding the 'facts' as Theresa May had laid them out? Ever wonder why, given how utterly deadly we were told this chemical was, the Skripals wondered around for a few hours after being 'infected' and then days later, survived with no chronic damage?

Well those doubts may well have just been answered as according to the independent Swiss state Spiez lab, the substance used on Sergei Skripal was an agent called BZ, which was never produced in Russia, but was in service in the US, UK, and other NATO states.

RT reports that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, citing the results of the examination conducted by a Swiss chemical lab that worked with the samples that London handed over to the Organisation for the Prohibition of the Chemical Weapons (OPCW), that Sergei Skripal, a former Russian double agent, and his daughter Yulia were poisoned with an incapacitating toxin known as 3-Quinuclidinyl benzilate or BZ.

The Swiss center sent the results to the OPCW.

However, the UN chemical watchdog limited itself only to confirming the formula of the substance used to poison the Skripals in its final report without mentioning anything about the other facts presented in the Swiss document, the Russian foreign minister added.

He went on to say that Moscow would ask the OPCW about its decision to not include any other information provided by the Swiss in its report.

On a side note, the Swiss lab is also an internationally recognized center of excellence in the field of the nuclear, biological, and chemical protection and is one of the five centers permanently authorized by the OPCW.

The Russian foreign minister said that London refused to answer dozens of “very specific” questions asked by Moscow about the Salisbury case, as well as to provide any substantial evidence that could shed light on the incident.

Instead, the UK accused Russia of failing to answer its own questions, he said, adding that, in fact, London did not ask any questions but wanted Moscow to admit that it was responsible for the delivery of the chemical agent to the UK.

But hey, who cares about any of that? Diplomats have been sent home, Putin has been anointed Hitler, and besides, what about those missiles in Syria?

Art Bell Open Lines / Friday the 13th C2C April 13, 2018

During the program George broke tragic news about the sudden passing of Coast to Coast founder and original host Art Bell. In the third hour, guest host Jimmy Church phoned in to chat about Art's impact, and what he meant to him and to the entire radio industry. "For me going into the Coast studios and standing in for [George] and being allowed to guest host is a privilege, but I'm there because Art built Coast to Coast," Church said.

Guest host Dave Schrader also briefly joined the program to share his favorite Art Bell moments. George played a recording of "Thanks For The Memories" he wrote for Art, as well as a classic clip in which Art reported on a plane flying into Area 51 and talked with the pilot live on air. The remainder of the show was devoted to Open Lines with many callers expressing their thoughts on Art Bell's death and legacy.

------------------------------------------------
In the first half, Charles Reichblum, author of the Knowledge in a Nutshell book series, discussed Friday the 13th and related superstitions, as well as shared other interesting tidbits. "We can't escape it... the way our calendars are sequenced there has to be at least one Friday the 13th every year," he said, noting any month that begins on Sunday will have a Friday the 13th. He traced the notion of 13 as unlucky to a Viking legend about a group of twelve feasting in a banquet hall when a thirteenth showed up uninvited to cause mischief. He also referenced the biblical story of the Last Supper in which the thirteenth attendee, Judas, betrayed Jesus.

According to Reichblum, fear of the unlucky number 13 remains with us to this day and is shared by other cultures. He presented evidence for how 13 has been a lucky number for the United States, pointing out the nation was founded as 13 original colonies, the motto " E Pluribus Unum" has 13 letters in it, and the Great Seal shows an eagle with 13 arrows in its talon and a pyramid with 13 levels. Not all things related to 13 have been good for the US. Apollo 13, which was launched at 13:13, did not successfully land on the moon and narrowly escaped being a disaster for the space program.

Reichblum talked about how 9-1-1 came to be used for emergencies, the apparent curse on certain famous musicians who die at 27 (Jimi Hendrix, Janice Joplin, Jim Morrison, Amy Winehouse, and others), how the greatest hitter in professional baseball history, Ty Cobb, also made more than 7,000 outs, and the curious case of Robert Lincoln who was on the scene for the assassination of three US presidents: his father Abraham Lincoln, James Garfield, and William McKinley. He also recounted the tale of merchant ship Mary Celeste which was found drifting and deserted in the Atlantic on December 5, 1872, with no signs of foul play. "To this day nobody knows what happened to those... crew members and the captain and his wife," Reichblum said.

Tax Battles / Holy Grail / Time Travel C2C April 12, 2018

First-hour guest, Daniel J. Pilla, a leader in taxpayers' rights defense and IRS abuse prevention, shared accounts of people's battles with the IRS. He became interested in this arena when at the age of 18, he successfully sued the IRS and stopped them from seizing their family home. When the IRS audits someone, the government agency's calculations are wrong 60 to 90% of the time, he cited. Yet, most don't know how to challenge or appeal their claims. It's a mistake not to file your taxes on time, even if you're not able to pay, he commented, as the IRS can further penalize you. Pilla is not impressed with the latest tax changes, which he referred to as tax cuts rather than genuine reform. He favors a plan similar to the FairTax, which would eliminate taxes on income, in favor of a national sales tax.

------------------------------
In the second hour, journalist and freelance writer Charles A. Coulombe discussed the recent changes in the Catholic church, and the Church's stance on various subjects such as exorcism and demonic possession, as well as his new work on the quest for the Holy Grail. Exorcisms are on the rise in the US, he reported, though the Church is reluctant to perform them because the afflicted person could be mentally ill. The local diocese have stringent criteria which include the involvement of a psychiatrist, and the exhibition of "preternatural" symptoms such as the knowledge of a language the disturbed person couldn't possibly have known. The Grail, said to be the cup or chalice Jesus used at the Last Supper, is a key to various other relics and miraculous phenomena, he believes, and it's likely that the venerated object is the one on display behind glass at the Gothic Cathedral in Valencia, Spain.

------------------------
Appearing in the latter half, hypnotherapist Dr. Bruce Goldberg talked about past life regression, future life progression, teleportation, and time travel. Using the term chrononauts to describe time travelers, he suggested they actually traveled back in time to places such as Lemuria and Atlantis to stimulate technology and advancements. Around the year 3050, time travel will be discovered by a man named Taatos, a kind of da Vinci of the future, who develops a machine called the Wormhole Linear Accelerator, he stated.

To correct or change health conditions or directions in one's life, Goldberg shared his 'New You Technique.' By perceiving a version of yourself in a parallel universe, he said you can switch tracks, and overcome your issues. He also shared one of his patients' descriptions of teleportation: "It felt almost like I was caught in a giant web. Suddenly the world exploded into countless billions of glowing threads. They stretched away in all directions and intersected everything including me. The overall effect was very similar to looking at a hologram, except it was visceral as well as visual. You could see/feel the image."

George played his rendition of "The Telltale Heart" during the last half-hour.

Catastrophic Asteroids / Consciousness and ETs C2C April 11, 2018

Secretary of Defense under President Bill Clinton from 1997-2001, William S. Cohen was a member of the U.S. Senate and Congress for twenty-four years. In the first half, he discussed his research of asteroids, how an impact with Earth could be catastrophic and what we can do about it. He also offered commentary on the Trump administration and America's relationship with Russia and China. There are about 700,000 known asteroids, some very small rocks, but many of them go undetected, he cited. About 25,000 asteroids are around 460 ft. wide and could reap massive regional damage, but in addition to those are some a kilometer or even larger in size-- "those are the types of asteroids that could end life on Earth," he warned.

"We need to find the asteroids," he stated, "before they find us." If we find them far enough out in space, he continued, we can deflect their orbit and avoid calamity. In 2013, a small asteroid passed over Russia and injured more than 1,400 people and leveled hundreds of acres of forest. The object was only 15 feet in width, he noted, but if it was more than half-a-mile in size, it would have come in at 33,000 mph and hit with an impact that would surpass a combined explosion of all the nuclear weapons on Earth. In Cohen's novels, he explores the question of what would be the obligation of heads of state for various countries to inform their citizenry of the impending doom from a massive asteroid on a collision course with us.

In the latter half, author and futurist Stephan Schwartz talked about his speculation into the extraterrestrial presence, research on using consciousness to alter reality, and the results of a lengthy remote viewing experiment that looked at life in the year 2050. He concluded that if beings capable of interstellar space travel wanted to conquer us, they would have done it long ago. The ET agenda, he believes, may be to "nurture pregnant civilizations, if you will, who are on the cusp of moving out of materialism" and into a recognition that consciousness is the fundamental force of the universe.

He detailed an experiment he conducted with wine tasting. Dividing the liquid in a bottle, half of it was the subject of therapeutic intention, the other half left alone. In 11 out of 12 wine tastings, the group preferred the wine that had been treated with intention, even though it was from the same bottle. "There's no physical change in the wine, but there's an aesthetic reaction to the wine which is different," he explained. "What we're really dealing with is consciousness and information." Schwartz reported the fascinating results of international groups of people all remote viewing the same day in 2050. 4,000 people participated in this experiment from 1978 to 1996. Early on, people reported an epidemic that sounded very similar to AIDS (before the disease became known), as well as prescient remarks about global warming, and terrorism. They also indicated that air travel in 2050 was infrequent, as people visited each other in a kind of electronic cyberspace.

Prophecy of a New Cold War / Ancient Sound Harmonics C2C April 10, 2018

In the first half, author John Hogue returned to update his prophecy alarm. According to his analysis of Nostradamus' "doomsday" quatrains, he believes that a new Cold War was started with Russia on March 1st, and he considers this to be his most important prophetic message in four years. Russia has perfected weaponry making anti-ballistic missile systems obsolete and can neutralize threats from America, which mimics the previous Cold War. He cited October 2021 as a particularly crucial and difficult time for humanity, with the possibility of economic collapse, and a nuclear confrontation between the US and Russia. If we pass that dangerous period, the nuclear threat could reappear in 2031, he said, adding that we could see "a karmic echo of the Cuban missile crisis triggered by something in the Middle East."

Hogue also speculated that the Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman (MBS for short) of Saudi Arabia could be a potential MABUS, the code name Nostradamus used to hide the true name of his foreseen Third and Final Antichrist. MBS has one thing other Antichrist candidates have lacked in recent years, he remarked. "He has the full support of what could potentially in the future be called another axis of evil. It's an axis of supremacist military-linked businessmen who want to keep destabilizing the world to stay alive," through generating more wars. For more, see his recent article.

In the latter half, researcher Douglas Stearns argued that the ancients had access to advanced sound technology, which is expressed in the similar architecture and building techniques seen in Egyptian, Mayan, Incan, Indian, and other cultures separated by time and distance. The ancients were masters of resonance and vibration, changing sound frequencies to alter the atomic forms of matter, he hypothesized, and this was how they created levitation or antigravity technology such as when the Egyptians moved giant and numerous blocks of stone to build the pyramids.

Stearns referred to such manipulations with sound as the science of cymatics and pointed out the divergence between musical tuning A440 and A432 frequencies, which have different effects on humans (related video). He also suggested that Earth, Mars, and a planet that was once between Mars and Jupiter, were all colonized by humans from a different solar system (this is one of the premises of his 'Harmonic Wars' novels).

Parapsychology & Magic / Haunted America C2C April 9, 2018

Chief scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, Dean Radin has been engaged in consciousness research for nearly four decades. In the first half, he discussed how what has been considered magic over the centuries is starting to play a key role in the new frontiers of science. He defined magic as three different types of real practices-- divination (looking at crystal balls, throwing the I Ching etc.), force of will (manifesting intentions), and theurgy (God's work, invoking spirits). These ancient traditions about magic, he noted, actually represent such things as clairvoyance, precognition, psychokinesis, mediumship, and near-death experiences, which Radin has been studying scientifically for years, though not referring to as "magic."

He shared the results of recent double-blind experiments, in which people consumed chocolate and tea both "blessed" and non-blessed to see if there was any difference in mood between the two groups. In both cases, the people receiving the blessed items reported better moods, and among those, the ones who believed they got the blessed tea had the best moods of all, suggesting that "belief strongly modulates the force of intention," he cited. Radin also detailed the development of new types of random generators (used in their Global Consciousness Project) that are not based on 0s and 1s of bits but rather a quantum noise generator from 32 different channels.

With a Ph.D. in parapsychology as well as a doctorate in metaphysics from the University of Metaphysical Sciences, Logan Corelli has over seventeen years of experience investigating haunted locations across America. In the latter half, he described tales of grisly deaths and unsolved murders where the spirits of the dead are often left behind, as well as some of his own eerie experiences with ghosts and the paranormal. In one instance, he was physically attacked by an entity or force and knocked off his feet. It took place at an abandoned church, where one of his fellow investigators recorded an EVP earlier, warning the group that they shouldn't be there and that they were going to die.

At the church site, as he looked outside toward his car, he saw a small waist-high black figure peering into the vehicle, but when it saw it was being observed, it quickly darted away, he recalled. In a number of instances, entities or spirits have attached themselves to him or followed him home from investigations, Corelli disclosed. "At one time," he continued, "my house was almost as haunted as the places I was investigating." A manifestation that presented itself as a noise followed him around not only to his home, but workplace, and other locations he frequented. Other strange auditory phenomena associated with spirits in various cases included knocking, whistling, and coins falling, he added.
