A New Doomsday Clock How Many Minutes Are We From Total Tyranny?
The Doomsday Clock, maintained by the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, is meant to indicate how close the world's chieftains are in bringing the experience of bright, white flashes and enveloping mushroom clouds to a neighborhood near you.
Even though the Bulletin's clock has merit, I propose that we adopt a new clock that foretells a different kind of doomsday: a time when we live under Total Government, which means Total Tyranny. History teaches us that the closer we get to Total Tyranny, the closer we get to the breakdown of society, pervasive poverty, slavery and war (including nuclear war).
My version of the clock is divided into twelve five-minute slices, and the hands sweep towards midnight as follows:
1. Private property ownership: Presently, the state claims ownership and control over all private property through its self-appointed powers of taxation, eminent domain and regulation. Private property ownership is now only an illusion, a historical artifact. (+5 minutes; Clock at 11:05 p.m.)
2. Personal privacy: The state is now employing an ever-increasing, omnipotent, spy apparatus to single-out threats to its power. However, there are still pockets of privacy and it is possible to escape the information dragnet. (+4 minutes; Clock at 11:09p.m.)
3. Freedom of movement: Increasingly, citizens are randomly stopped in their travels on public and/or private property because every person is now considered to be a potential enemy of the state. Efforts are underway to make it illegal for some people to leave the country, though such restrictions are not yet the law. (+4 minutes; Clock at 11:13 p.m.)
4. Freedom of the family: Children are now considered to be the property of the state and can be legally kidnapped. Parents are increasingly arrested for failing to meet arbitrary government criteria on the raising of children including how they are fed and disciplined. However, most parents still have the freedom to legally home-school their children. (+4 minutes; Clock at 11:17 p.m.)
5. Morality of the justice system: Everyone knows that the judicial system is bought and paid-for by the ruling elite. Rarely are laws overturned or opposed even though the laws may be corrupt and immoral. Occasionally, justice is dispensed based upon moral principles, but it is becoming increasingly rare. (+4 minutes; Clock at 11:21 p.m.)
6. The rule of law: The smokescreen of public law is used as a means to allow the state to get away with crimes for which private individuals would be arrested. State bureaucrats and police are rarely, if ever, charged with criminal acts and they literally can get away with murder. Today the rule of law is essentially dead. (+5 minutes; Clock at 11:26 p.m.)
7. Victimless crime: Most laws on the books today make criminals out of non-criminals. No longer is harm required to constitute crime. Also, laws are so complex that it's no longer possible to know if a law is being broken. Anyone can be a criminal without knowing it. The arbitrary will of the bureaucratic class now reigns supreme. (+5 minutes; Clock at 11:31 p.m.)
8. Economic freedom: Citizens are presently taxed at a total rate that far exceeds that of medieval serfs. The state mandates the use of its monopoly currency which it continually devalues to fund its pet projects and to enrich its politically-connected friends. The government is on the path of tracking every bit of money that changes private hands, though cash exchanges and barter can still go unnoticed. (+4 minutes; Clock at 11:35 p.m.)
9. Sate control over business: The decisions made by businessmen are entirely within the purview of government bureaucrats. Every enterprise is highly regulated and hampered by red tape. Free market competition has taken a back seat to government-corporate fascism. Being politically connected is required to get ahead and corporate welfare is pervasive. The state has taken over major segments of private industry, including health care. Small private enterprises can still succeed, but it is becoming more difficult. (+4 minutes; Clock at 11:39 p.m.)
10. The police and society: The local police are becoming increasingly politicized and militarized. Military outposts that once operated overseas now operate in your local shopping center parking lot. Drones buzz overhead. Torture with Taser guns is now viewed as acceptable police enforcement. Thankfully, most police encounters don't end with torture or death at this time. (+4 minutes; Clock at 11:43 p.m.)
11. Perpetual war: The state is in a perpetual state of war engaging in a multitude of invented battles that cannot be won. They have no definite end. The enemies are contrived on an as-needed basis. We are now the Oceania of Orwell's 1984. (+5 minutes; Clock at 11:48 p.m.)
12. War on the citizen: Anyone who opposes the will of the state is said to be a traitor. Indefinite time in jail in the absence of supporting evidence and a public trial can be a reality for any individual. Citizens can be imprisoned or murdered at the whim of a bureaucrat or political leader, though today the murdering is limited. (+4 minutes; Clock at 11:52 p.m.)
According to my clock, then, we have eight minutes before the hands strike midnight. Would your version of the Doomsday Clock of Tyranny look much different? The good news is that it's still possible to turn-back the clock once the average voter realizes how dark things have become. At least now we have a clock against which we can measure our progress.

Police State -- Cops Are Out-of-Control

and indoctrinated to serve the
Illuminati. They behave like thugs.
By KP Ryan
(henrymakow.com)
In bygone America,
police forces were funded by the community
in which they worked. While police abuse always existed in large
cities, smaller cities and towns were generally free from police
corruption and abuse of power.
Those
days are now long gone. Even the smallest town police have been granted
federal dollars (to protect us from
'terrorists!') to buy new weapons and vehicles.
In addition, Feds invite local police to
learn the new techniques of surveillance and law enforcement.
Now,
police across the country play by their own rules. They will lie,
cheat, and steal. They act as 'Judge, Jury and Executioner' with
impunity. They are paranoid. Citizens are learning that dialing '911'
for help can get themselves or family members or even their neighbors
assaulted and even murdered.
In most jurisdictions, the police judge the police however, and unless there are numerous witnesses to counter the official story or a clear video record, holding the evildoers accountable is nearly impossible.
In most jurisdictions, the police judge the police however, and unless there are numerous witnesses to counter the official story or a clear video record, holding the evildoers accountable is nearly impossible.
The following are but a few examples of police behaving as a Street Gang:
FULLERTON, CA

"I just started smashing his face to hell." So says one of the Fullerton, California police after his encounter with Mr. Kelly Thomas. Mr. Thomas was well known to many residents, small business owners (and police) in downtown Fullerton. A schizophrenic, Mr. Thomas was often homeless and had a record for petty crimes such as trespassing. He was not known to be violent, but he was a sick man.
On
the evening of July 5, 2011 someone phoned in a report of an individual
wiggling one or more car door handles. Police responded and saw Thomas, shirtless
and carrying a backpack.
Initially Officer Ramos asked Thomas a number of questions while flipping and twirling a baton in his right hand. Ramos's partner, Officer Joe Wolfe, stationed himself behind Mr. Thomas as Ramos attempted to get him to admit to breaking into cars.

They
eventually search his backpack and find a letter addressed to a name different from
Thomas's. At this point that Wolfe's earlier words appear
prescient: "Do you plan on going to sleep fairly soon?" Ramos, as he's
slipping both hands into tight leather gloves, then says to Thomas: "See
these fists? They're about to f*** you up!"
Up to six of Fullerton's Finest take turns punching, kicking, and beating Thomas with fists, boots, flashlights and Electrocution Devices, eventually assaulting him into a coma and days later, death.

Moments
later, when the ambulance arrives, Ramos demanded they treat his minor injury
before attempting to save Thomas's life.
Thomas died in hospital.
Thomas died in hospital.
Fullerton's
police department initially claimed Thomas 'resisted arrest' and
assaulted the officers. Thomas's father (a retired cop) photographed
son's
injuries later in the hospital. No television station or newspaper
would publish the images. Instead, the media all reported as fact every
detail that came out of the FPD.
Fortunately, a little known local blog first posted the elder Thomas's photos and then obtained a video that happened to record portions of the incident, including a portion of the beating. Today two Fullerton cops are on trial over this vicious death, (four others have escaped prosecution) including Ramos, though it is worth noting NO Orange County jury has EVER held a police officer accountable for his or her actions.

Lastly,
it should be noted that police across the country were asked to donate
money for Ramos's release on bail. The letter began with these words:
"Keep in mind folks that the system of 'innocent until proven guilty' is
still alive and well in the US..." Apparently the donations flooded in,
as Ramos indeed was released on bail.
LOS ANGELES
Shawn
Nee snapped a handful of photographs of two L.A. County deputies as they
chatted up two underage girls. The outraged officers approached Mr. Nee
and claimed it was illegal to take photos of police. They handcuffed
him and then claimed he was illegally taking photos of the two girls, and
followed that up with the accusation that it was illegal for Mr. Nee to
be in public without identification. As they approached their cruiser
with Nee in handcuffs, one of the deputies called Mr. Nee a 'retard'...
and then noticed that, in addition to the camera he had used, Mr. Nee
also had a video recorder in his bag and it had been filming and
recording them throughout the encounter. Minutes later they freed Mr.
Nee without charges. Mr. Nee already has a lawsuit underway against the
County for previously violating his civil rights as a photographer.
MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA
Mr.
and Mrs. Khang were upstairs at home one evening with their six children
when Mrs. Khang heard a window in her home shatter. She then heard
muffled male voices in the stairwell. She immediately dialed 911 and
reported the break-in. Mr. Khang grabbed his shotgun and fired as the
voices reached the bedroom door. The men on the other side returned
fire, but with good fortune, no one was hit. It turned out that a local SWAT team had the wrong address and entered the
Khang's home by mistake. The City then granted commendations to eight of
the SWAT officers for their 'bravery under fire.'
DE KALB COUNTY, GEORGIA
92-year old Katherine Johnson wasn't as fortunate as the Khangs. With
nothing more than a bogus tip from an informant (other sources claim
there never was a tip in the first place), members of De Kalb County's
'RED DOG' task force broke down the woman's front door.
Mrs. Johnson, thinking hoodlums were invading her home, grabbed and fired a gun, hitting no one. The 'task force' returned the favor, firing 39 shots, striking Mrs. Johnson 5 times. The RED DOG unit then searched her home for drugs and cash while she lay bleeding to death. Finding nothing incriminating, they planted marijuana in an attempt to cover up the murder. This case is most unusual as three cops were actually sentenced for their acts.

AUSTIN, TEXAS
Michael
Paxton was playing catch in his backyard with his Australian Cattle
Dog. A police officer, responding to a 911 call, drove (erroneously)
into Paxton's driveway and confronted Paxton. The dog, Cisco, ran over
to see what was going on and was shot and killed by the officer who
'feared' for his safety. Nationally there are no statistics kept on the
number of pets killed by cops, but the stories are abundant and varied.
Here's an extremely brief example (scroll down for photos and stories
of various dogs killed): http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/27/cop-shoots-dog-puppycide_n_1446841.html
PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA

Until this point in time, Miles had never been in trouble with the law. In fact he was an honors student at a prestigious area high school. The police claimed they had received a complaint that Miles had been 'loitering' in front of his friend's home and his friend's mother had called police.
The police further claimed they spotted a likely weapon in Miles' pocket and ordered him to show his hands, but Miles instead took off running. They then claimed he slipped on ice and then violently resisted arrest.
When the case of Jordan Miles reached court, his friend's mother swore she had never called in a complaint about Miles' loitering; the police were never able to produce a weapon, and, according the Miles, the officers NEVER identified themselves as police.

The officers involved got paid leave PLUS hypothetical overtime.
WHAT TO DO???
These
are not isolated incidents. In fact, there are a few websites that
attempt to compile a daily laundry list of police crimes.
So what's a rational and reasonable human to do?
First,
one has to come to the understanding that Police today are NOT the
police of 30 years ago. While there have always been rogue cops and
abusers of power, today's young officer is trained from day 1 to be
scared of the public and to Act, rather than react.
Additionally, they feel protected. Only when there is a mountain of evidence will a District Attorney's Office or the Federal Government step in and prosecute the miscreants.
Also, police are trained to feel as if the public is conspiring to get them. Thus they preserve and even beef-up the 'Thin Blue Line'. It is extraordinarily rare for an officer to stand up to abusive fellow officers.
And when they do dare to 'serve and protect' they are likely face discipline or even termination (see: http://www.copblock.org/15306/crossing-the-thin-blue-line/ ).
Police Unions generally go far out of their way to protect and defend the corrupt within their ranks. Sometimes it seems as if the only time they wish to excommunicate a member is when a retired officer wears his uniform to an Occupy Wall Street Protest .
There was a time when the majority of citizens trusted their government. Now, people are less willing to be played for suckers.
They need to recognize police are in place today to defend the banking elite that controls the State.

Second,
video is essential for justice. One cannot rely on 1 or 2 cops to
cross that Thin Blue Line and go against their brothers.
They'd much rather lie in their reports, to investigators, and on the witness stand. Shunning is difficult for anyone, but police seem especially cowed by the threat of being shunned.
Further, witnesses aren't too reliable. But if you are able to record your interaction with the police you have a much better chance with an audio or video recording.
There's a reason police nationwide are doing everything they can to see to it that it becomes illegal for citizens to snap photos or record them as they 'keep the peace'. There are now (relatively) inexpensive recording devices that one can place in one's car that record the action if you are pulled over. If police are at your door, try to train a camera and just let it record.

Third,
when you are served with jury duty, GO! But first read about your
rights and responsibilities as a jury as outlined by the Founding
Fathers (see sec. 1, Handbook for Jurors: http://www.patriotnetwork.info/Citizens_rule_book.htm
).
Just don't broadcast to anyone your new-found knowledge. Should you have the good fortune to serve on a case that was brought about by either an immoral or unconstitutional law, you have the absolute power to acquit!
Additionally, should the defendant complain about police brutality or claim the police are lying .. it is very likely that the defendant is telling the truth. The System is allowing the Police to run rampant and lie with impunity.

more and more of these cases come to light, it serves to shake more
Americans out of their stupor and realize the police today are, whether
willingly or not, serving their true masters, the Illuminati.

How to Muddy Your Tracks on the Internet
Legal and technology researchers estimate
that it would take about a month for Internet users to read the privacy
policies of all the Web sites they visit in a year. So in the interest
of time, here is the deal: You know that dream where you suddenly
realize you’re stark naked? You’re living it whenever you open your
browser.
There are no secrets online. That emotional e-mail you sent to your ex,
the illness you searched for in a fit of hypochondria, those hours spent
watching kitten videos (you can take that as a euphemism if the kitten
fits) — can all be gathered to create a defining profile of you.
Your information can then be stored, analyzed, indexed and sold as a
commodity to data brokers who in turn might sell it to advertisers,
employers, health insurers or credit rating agencies.
And while it’s probably impossible to cloak your online activities
fully, you can take steps to do the technological equivalent of throwing
on a pair of boxers and a T-shirt. Some of these measures are quite
easy and many are free. Of course, the more effort and money you expend,
the more concealed you are. The trick is to find the right balance
between cost, convenience and privacy.
Before you can thwart the snoopers, you have to know who they are. There
are hackers hanging around Wi-Fi hot spots, to be sure. But security
experts and privacy advocates said more worrisome were Internet service
providers, search engine operators, e-mail suppliers and Web site
administrators — particularly if a single entity acts in more than one
capacity, like Google, Yahoo, Facebook and AOL. This means they can
easily collect and cross-reference your data, that is, match your
e-mails with your browsing history, as well as figure out your location
and identify all the devices you use to connect to the Internet.
“The worst part is they sell this extremely creepy intrusion as a great
boon to your life because they can tailor services to your needs,” said Paul Ohm,
an associate professor at the University of Colorado Law School in
Boulder who specializes in information privacy and computer crime. “But
do most people want to give that much away? No.”
He advised logging off sites like Google and Facebook as soon as
practicably possible and not using the same provider for multiple
functions if you can help it. “If you search on Google, maybe you don’t
want to use Gmail for your e-mail,” he said.
If you do not want the content of your e-mail messages examined or
analyzed at all, you may want to consider lesser-known free services
like HushMail, RiseUp and Zoho, which promote no-snooping policies. Or register your own domain with an associated e-mail address through services like Hover or BlueHost,
which cost $55 to $85 a year. You get not only the company’s assurance
of privacy but also an address unlike anyone else’s, like me@myowndomain.com.
Or you can forgo trusting others with your e-mail correspondence
altogether and set up your own mail server. It is an option that is not
just for the paranoid, according to Sam Harrelson,
a middle-school teacher and self-described technology aficionado in
Asheville, N.C., who switched to using his own mail server this year
using a $49.99 OS X Server and $30 SpamSieve software to eliminate junk mail.
“The topic of privacy policies and what lies ahead for our digital
footprints is especially fascinating and pertinent for me, since I work
with 13- and 14-year-olds who are just beginning to dabble with services
such as Gmail and all of Google’s apps, as well as Facebook, Instagram,
social gaming,” he said. “I have nothing to hide, but I’m uncomfortable
with what we give away.”
But even with your own mail server, Google will still have the e-mails
you exchange with friends or colleagues with Gmail accounts, said Peter
Eckersley of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a digital rights advocacy group in San Francisco. “You’re less exposed,” he said. “But you can’t totally escape.”
Another shrouding tactic is to use the search engine DuckDuckGo,
which distinguishes itself with a “We do not track or bubble you!”
policy. Bubbling is the filtering of search results based on your search
history. (Bubbling also means you are less likely to see opposing
points of view or be exposed to something fresh and new.)
Regardless of which search engine you use, security experts recommend
that you turn on your browser’s “private mode,” usually found under
Preferences, Tools or Settings. When this mode is activated, tracking
cookies are deleted once you close your browser, which “essentially
wipes clean your history,” said Jeremiah Grossman, chief technology
officer with WhiteHat Security, an online security consulting firm in Santa Clara, Calif.
He warned, however, that private mode does nothing to conceal your I.P.
address, a unique number that identifies your entry or access point to
the Internet. So Web sites may not know your browsing history, but they
will probably know who you are and where you are as well as when and how
long you viewed their pages.
Shielding your I.P. address is possible by connecting to what is called a
virtual private network, or V.P.N., such as those offered by WiTopia, PrivateVPN and StrongVPN.
These services, whose prices price from $40 to $90 a year, route your
data stream to what is called a proxy server, where it is stripped of
your I.P. address before it is sent on to its destination. This obscures
your identity not only from Web sites but also from your Internet
service provider.
Moreover, these services encrypt data traveling to and from their
servers so it looks like gibberish to anyone who might be monitoring
wireless networks in places like coffee shops, airports and hotels.
While V.P.N. providers generally have strict privacy policies, Moxie Marlinspike,
an independent security researcher and software developer in San
Francisco, said, “It’s better to trust the design of the system rather
than an organization.” In that case, there is Tor,
a free service with 36 million users that was originally developed to
conceal military communications. Tor encrypts your data stream and
bounces it through a series of proxy servers so no single entity knows
the source of the data or whence it came. The only drawback is that with
all that bouncing around, it is very S-L-O-W.
Free browser add-ons that increase privacy and yet will not interrupt your work flow include Ghostery and Do Not Track Plus,
which prevent Web sites from relaying information about you and your
visit to tracking companies. These add-ons also name the companies that
were blocked from receiving your data (one social network, five
advertising companies and six data brokers on a recent visit to CNN.com), which is instructive in itself.
“Companies like Google are creating these enormous databases using your
personal information,” said Paul Hill, senior consultant with SystemExperts,
a network security company in Sudbury, Mass. “They may have the best of
intentions now, but who knows what they will look like 20 years from
now, and by then it will be too late to take it all back.”

Six 'Grow Younger' Nutrients I Take Every Day
http://lewrockwell.com/mercola/mercola191.html
Nutritionists have long been interested in the dynamics of telomere length in the body, and how telomeres figure in to human health and life expectancy. Telomeres were first discovered in 1973 by Alexey Olovnikov.
He found that the tiny units of DNA at the very end of each chromosome – the telomere – shorten with time because they cannot replicate completely each time the cell divides and they may be the most powerful biological clock that has yet to be identified.
Hence, as you get older, your telomeres get shorter and shorter. Eventually, DNA replication and cell division ceases completely, at which point you die. However, a growing body of research is showing that certain nutrients play a huge role in protecting telomere length; greatly affecting how long you live.
Researchers also found that women who use vitamin B12 supplements have longer telomeres than those who don't. Vitamin D3, zinc, iron, omega-3 fatty acids, and vitamins C and E also influence telomere length. This supports the findings of an earlier study from 2009, which provided the first epidemiologic evidence that the use of multivitamins by women is associated with longer telomeres.ii According to the authors:
"Compared with nonusers, the relative telomere length of leukocyte DNA was on average 5.1% longer among daily multivitamin users. In the analysis of micronutrients, higher intakes of vitamins C and E from foods were each associated with longer telomeres, even after adjustment for multivitamin use."
The mechanism by which nutrients appear to affect telomere length is by influencing the activity of telomerase, an enzyme that adds the telomeric repeats to the ends of your DNA. Thousands of studies have been published on telomerase, and they are well-known to maintain genomic stability, prevent the inappropriate activation of DNA damage pathways, and regulate cellular aging.
In 1984, Elizabeth Blackburn PhD, professor of biochemistry and biophysics at UCSF, discovered that the enzyme telomerase actually has the ability to lengthen the telomere by synthesizing DNA from an RNA primer. She, along with Carol Greider and Jack Szostak were jointly awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2009 "for the discovery of how chromosomes are protected by telomeres and the enzyme telomerase."
For example, telomere shortening has been linked to the diseases listed below. But animal studies have also shown that these types of health problems can be reversed by restoring telomerase functioning:
Below, I
will review a few of those, plus several additional recommendations
for what I believe are among the most important nutrients to maintain
and promote telomere lengthening.
Naturally, any attempt at a list like this is bound to fail to some degree as we really need a balance of a wide variety of nutrients. However, I believe it's possible to make some general recommendations based on the fact that most people are sorely deficient in many of these key nutrients that we know are important for optimal health. Others, such as astaxanthin and curcumin, just have such robust scientific support that it would seem foolish to ignore them when the benefits are so profound. With that said, here are my recommendations for the top 12 anti-aging nutrients, followed by two bonus strategies that do not involve taking supplements that can also help radically increase your lifespan by protecting your telomeres.
I have listed the 12 nutrients below in the order that I believe they have in importance. I personally take the first six every day but the vitamin D is through sun exposure, not through an oral supplement.
Your leukocyte telomere length (LTL) is a predictor for aging related diseases. As you age, your LTL's become shorter, but, if you suffer from chronic inflammation, your telomeres decrease in length much faster, because your body's inflammatory response accelerates leukocyte turnover. Your vitamin D concentrations also decrease with age, whereas your C-reactive protein (a mediator of inflammation) increases. This inverse double-whammy increases your overall risk of developing autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis, and rheumatoid arthritis.
The good news is that vitamin D is a potent inhibitor of your body's inflammatory response, and by reducing inflammation, you diminish your turnover of leukocytes, effectively creating a positive chain reaction that can help protect you against a variety of diseases. In essence, it protects your body from the deterioration of aging. Researchers have found that subsets of leukocytes have receptors for the active form of vitamin D (D3), which allows the vitamin to have a direct effect on these cells. This may also explain the specific connection between vitamin D and autoimmune disease.
The absolute best way to optimize your vitamin D levels would be through safe sun exposure. I am fully aware that many will not be able to implement this recommendation due to lifestyle constraints, but I feel I would be reprehensibly negligent if I did not emphasize how superior photo vitamin D is compared to oral. So for those who are able to, I have provided the following video that helps you find the times exposing your skin to the sun will actually produce vitamin D in your location.
Astaxanthin has emerged as one of the most potent and beneficial antioxidants currently known, with potent anti-inflammatory and DNA-protective capabilities. Research has even shown that it can protect against DNA damage induced by gamma radiationv. It has a number of unique features that make it stand out from the crowd.
For example, it is by far the most powerful carotenoid antioxidant when it comes to free radical scavenging: astaxanthin is 65 times more powerful than vitamin C, 54 times more powerful than beta-carotene, and 14 times more powerful than vitamin Evi. It's also far more effective than other carotenoids at "singlet oxygen quenching," which is a particular type of oxidation. It is 550 times more powerful than vitamin E, and 11 times more powerful than beta-carotene at neutralizing singlet oxygen.
Astaxanthin crosses both your blood-brain barrier AND your blood-retinal barrier (beta carotene and lycopene do not), which brings antioxidant and anti-inflammatory protection to your eyes, brain and central nervous system.
Another feature that separates astaxanthin from other carotenoids is that it cannot function as a pro-oxidant. Many antioxidants will act as pro-oxidants (meaning they start to cause rather than combat oxidation) when present in your tissues in sufficient concentrations. This is why you don't want to go overboard taking too many antioxidant supplements like beta-carotene, for example. Astaxanthin, on the other hand, does not function as a pro-oxidant, even when present in high amounts, which makes it highly beneficial.
Lastly, one of its most profound features is its unique ability to protect the entire cell from damage – both the water-soluble part and the fat-soluble portion of the cell. Other antioxidants affect just one or the other. This is due to astaxanthin's unique physical characteristics that allow it to reside within the cell membrane will also protecting the inside of the cell. To learn more about astaxanthin, please listen to the following interview with Dr. Robert Corish.
CoQ10 is used by every cell in your body. In fact, it is so important for your body's daily functions that it is also known as "ubiquinone" because it's 'ubiquitous' in the human body.
What you may not know, however, is that to benefit from the form of the nutrient needed to produce cellular energy and help you reduce the typical signs of aging, your body must convert the ubiquinone to the reduced form, called ubiquinol – and research is showing that this reduced form may actually be superior for your health in a number of ways. If you're under 25 years old your body is capable of converting CoQ10 from the oxidized to the reduced form. However, if you're older, your body becomes more and more challenged to convert the oxidized CoQ10 to ubiquinol.
Premature aging is one primary side effect of having too little CoQ10 because this essential vitamin recycles other antioxidants, such as vitamin C and E. CoQ10 deficiency also accelerates DNA damage, and because CoQ10 is beneficial to heart health and muscle function this depletion leads to fatigue, muscle weakness, soreness and eventually heart failure.
In a previous interview with Dr. Stephen Sinatra, he recounts an experiment from the mid-90's on aging rats. The average lifespan of a rat is two years. Rats given CoQ10, at the end of their life, had more energy, better coats, and better appetites, compared to the rats that did not get CoQ10. The supplement basically had a potent anti-aging effect, in the sense it maintained youthfulness until the very end of their life. In terms of life extension, the effect was minimal.
Dr. Sinatra also conducted his own research and found that CoQ10 given to both younger and older mice resulted in increased energy and vigor. Older mice traveled through mazes quicker, they had better memory, and had more locomotor activity than those who did not get CoQ10. So CoQ10 definitely appears to improve the quality of life, even if it may not significantly increase longevity per say. For more information and dosage recommendations, please see this previous CoQ10 article.
Part of the problem is that these processed, sugar- and chemical-laden foods effectively destroy your intestinal microflora. Your gut flora has incredible power over your immune system, which, of course, is your body's natural defense system. Antibiotics, stress, artificial sweeteners, chlorinated water and many other factors can also reduce the amount of probiotics (beneficial bacteria) in your gut, which can predispose you to illness and premature aging. Ideally, you'll want to make traditionally cultured and fermented foods a staple in your daily diet.
You can use a probiotic supplement, but getting your probiotics from food is definitely better as you can consume far more beneficial bacteria, in many cases up to 100X more. Fermented vegetables are an excellent alternative as they are both delicious and simple to make. In the following video, Caroline Barringer discusses the process of fermenting your own vegetables in some detail, so if you're up for fermenting some of your own foods, please listen to this interview.
Although this research is preliminary, I would suggest that optimizing your omega-3 levels above eight percent would be a good strategy if you're interested in delaying aging. (Your doctor can order the omega-3 index test from a lab called Health Diagnostic Laboratory in Richmond, Virginia.) After all, you have nothing to lose and a lot to gain by doing so, since omega-3 has proven to be extremely important for your health in so many respects.
My favorite animal-based omega-3 is krill oil, as it has a number of benefits not found in other omega-3 supplements such as fish oil. Aside from higher potential for contamination, fish oil supplements also have a higher risk of suffering oxidation damage and becoming rancid. Dr. Rudi Moerck has discussed these risks at great length in a previous interview. Krill oil also contains naturally-occurring astaxanthin, which makes it nearly 200 times more resistant to oxidative damage compared to fish oil.
Additionally, according to Dr. Harris' research, krill oil is also more potent gram for gram, as its absorption rate is much higher than fish oil. You get somewhere between 25 to 50 percent more omega-3 per milligram when you take krill oil compared to fish oil, hence you don't need to take as much.
In 2004, the Rotterdam Study, which was the first study demonstrating the beneficial effect of vitamin K2, showed that people who consume 45 mcg of K2 daily live seven years longer than people getting 12 mcg per dayix.
In a subsequent study called the Prospect Studyx, 16,000 people were followed for 10 years. Researchers found that each additional 10 mcg of K2 in the diet results in 9 percent fewer cardiac events.
K2 is present in fermented foods, particularly cheese and the Japanese food natto, which is by far the richest source of K2.
It is useful for preventing depression, seizure disorders and brain atrophy. In fact, folate deficiency can lead to elevated homocysteine levels, which can be a major contributor to heart disease and Alzheimer's disease. One unfortunate and preventable reason why some believe folate numbers are slipping is the increased prevalence of obesity, which negatively affects the way most peoplemetabolize this important vitamin. The ideal way to raise your folate levels is to eat plenty of fresh, raw, organic leafy green vegetables, and beans.
Please note that it is the natural folate from food that has been found to be beneficial. This may not be true for the supplement folic acid.
Vitamin B12 is found almost exclusively in animal tissues, including foods like beef and beef liver, lamb, snapper, venison, salmon, shrimp, scallops, poultry and eggs. It's not readily available in plants, so if you do not eat meat or animal products you are at risk of deficiency. The few plant foods that are sources of B12 are actually B12 analogs. An analog is a substance that blocks the uptake of true B12, so your body's need for the nutrient actually increases.
If you aren't getting sufficient B12 in your diet, I recommend you begin supplementation immediately with this vital nutrient with either an under-the-tongue fine mist spray or vitamin B12 injections. Ensuring your body has adequate B12 can vastly improve the quality of your life and prevent debilitating, even life-threatening diseases which result from a deficiency of this all-important nutrient.
The spice actually stops laboratory strains of melanoma from proliferating and pushes the cancer cells to commit suicide by shutting down nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-kB), a powerful protein known to induce abnormal inflammatory response that leads to an assortment of disorders such as arthritis and cancer.
To get the full benefits that curcumin has to offer, you will want to look for a turmeric extract with at least 95 percent curcuminoids that contains only 100 percent certified organic ingredients. The formula should be free of fillers, additives and excipients (a substance added to the supplement as a processing or stability aid), and the manufacturer should use safe production practices at all stages: planting, cultivation, selective harvesting, and then producing and packaging the final product. This previous article can provide you further details on how to use curcumin.
One Way Nutrition Affects Longevity
For example, in one recent studyi, scientists found that the B vitamin folate plays an important part in maintenance of DNA integrity and DNA methylation, which in turn influences telomere length.Researchers also found that women who use vitamin B12 supplements have longer telomeres than those who don't.
The Science of Growing Younger
I believe the science of telomeres offers the most exciting and viable possibility for extreme life extension – the kind of anti-aging strategy that can actually allow you to regenerate and in effect "grow younger." Naturally, researchers are hard at work devising pharmaceutical strategies to accomplish this, but there's solid evidence that simple lifestyle strategies and nutritional intervention can do this too. This is great news, as short telomeres are a risk factor not just for death itself, but for many diseases as well. For example, telomere shortening has been linked to the diseases listed below. But animal studies have also shown that these types of health problems can be reversed by restoring telomerase functioning:
Decreased immune response against infections | Type 2 diabetes | Atherosclerotic lesions |
Neurodegenerative diseases | Testicular, splenic, intestinal atrophy | DNA damage |
Top 12 Key Nutrients for Life Extension
The featured study found the following nutrients to have a beneficial impact on telomere length:Vitamin B12 | Zinc | Vitamin D |
Omega-3 | Vitamin C | Vitamin E |
1. Vitamin D
In one study of more than 2,000 women, those with higher vitamin D levels were found to have fewer aging-related changes in their DNA, as well as lowered inflammatory responsesiii. Women with higher levels of vitamin D are more likely to have longer telomeres, and vice versa. This means that people with higher levels of vitamin D may actually age more slowly than people with lower levels of vitamin D.Your leukocyte telomere length (LTL) is a predictor for aging related diseases.
2. Astaxanthin (derived from the microalgae Haematoccous pluvialis)
In the 2009 study on multivitamin use and telomere length, longer telomeres were also associated with the use of antioxidant formulasiv. According to the authors, telomeres are particularly vulnerable to oxidative stress. Additionally, inflammation induces oxidative stress and lowers the activity of telomerase (again, that's the enzyme responsible for maintaining your telomeres).Astaxanthin has emerged as one of the most potent and beneficial antioxidants currently known, with potent anti-inflammatory and DNA-protective capabilities.
3. Ubiquinol (CoQ10)
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is the fifth most popular supplement in the United States, taken by about 53 percent of Americans, according to a 2010 survey by ConsumerLab.comvii. This is a good thing as one in every four Americans over 45 is taking a statin and every single one of these individuals needs to be taking it.CoQ10 is used by every cell in your body.
4. Fermented Foods / Probiotics
It's quite clear that eating a diet consisting of high amounts of processed foods will shorten your life, yet 90 percent of the money Americans spend on food is spent on processed food, and the number one source of calories in the US comes from high fructose corn syrup – a staple ingredient in nearly all processed foods, from frozen dinners, to condiments, snacks, and soda. Researchers have even discovered that genetic mutations and malfunctions that cause disease are created in future generations when highly processed and artificial foods are consumed!Part of the problem is that these processed, sugar- and chemical-laden foods effectively destroy your intestinal microflora.
5. Krill Oil
According to Dr. Richard Harris, an expert on omega-3 fats, those who have an omega-3 index of less than four percent age much faster than those with indexes above eight percent. Therefore, your omega-3 index may also be an effective marker of your rate of aging. According to Dr. Harris' research, omega-3 fats appear to play a role in activating telomerase, which, again, has been shown to be able to actually reverse telomere shortening.Although this research is preliminary, I would suggest that optimizing your omega-3 levels above eight percent would be a good strategy if you're interested in delaying aging.

You get somewhere between 25 to 50 percent more omega-3 per milligram when you take krill oil compared to fish oil, hence you don't need to take as much.
6. Vitamin K2
Vitamin K may very well be "the next vitamin D" as research continues to illuminate a growing number of benefits to your health. While most people get enough vitamin K from their diets to maintain adequate blood clotting, they're NOT enough to offer protection against more serious health problems. For example, research over the past few years suggest that vitamin K2 can provide substantial protection from prostate cancerviii, which is one of the leading causes of cancer among men in the United States. And research results are similarly encouraging for the benefits of vitamin K to your cardiac health:In 2004, the Rotterdam Study, which was the first study demonstrating the beneficial effect of vitamin K2, showed that people who consume 45 mcg of K2 daily live seven years longer than people getting 12 mcg per dayix.
7. Magnesium
According to the featured researchxi, magnesium also plays an important role in DNA replication, repair, and RNA synthesis, and dietary magnesium has been shown to positively correlate with increased telomere length in women. Other research has shown that long term deficiency leads to telomere shortening in rats and cell cultures. It appears the lack of magnesium ions has a negative influence on genome integrity. Insufficient amounts of magnesium also reduce your body's ability to repair damaged DNA, and can induce chromosomal abnormalities. According to the authors, it's reasonable to hypothesize that "magnesium influences telomere length by affecting DNA integrity and repair, in addition to its potential role in oxidative stress and inflammation."8. Polyphenols
Polyphenols are potent antioxidant compounds in plant foods, many of which have been linked to anti-aging benefits and disease reduction. Here are but a few examples of these potent antioxidant compounds:- Grapes (resveratrol) – Resveratrol deeply penetrates the center of your cell's nucleus, giving your DNA time to repair free radical damage. Research dating back to 2003 showed that resveratrol, a powerful polyphenol and anti-fungal chemical, was able to increase the lifespan of yeast cells.xii The findings showed that resveratrol could activate a gene called sirtuin1, which is also activated during calorie restriction in various species. Since then studies in nematode worms, fruit flies, fish, mice, and human cells have linked resveratrol to longer lives.
-
Cacao
– Quite a few studies have confirmed the potent antioxidant
properties, and subsequent health benefits, of raw cocoa powder.
Dark, organic, unprocessed chocolate has been found to benefit
your glucose
metabolism (diabetic control), blood pressure, and cardiovascular
health.
-
Green
tea – Polyphenols
in tea, which include EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate) and
many others, have been found to offer protection against many
types of cancer. The polyphenols in green tea may constitute
up to 30 percent of the dry leaf weight, so, when you drink
a cup of green tea, you're drinking a fairly potent solution
of healthy tea polyphenols.
Green tea
is the least processed kind of tea, so it also contains the
highest amounts of EGCG of all tea varieties. Keep in mind,
however, that many green teas have been oxidized, and this process
may take away many of its valuable properties. The easiest sign
to look for when evaluating a green tea's quality is its color:
if your green tea is brown rather than green, it's likely been
oxidized.
Resveratrol is found in grapes, and there are numerous products on the market containing resveratrol. I recommend looking for one made from Muscadine grapes, and that uses WHOLE grape skins and seeds, as this is where many of the benefits are concentrated.
My personal favorite is matcha green tea because it contains the entire ground tea leaf, and can contain over 100 times the EGCG provided from regular brewed green tea.
9. Folate (aka Vitamin B9, or Folic Acid)
According to the featured study in the Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry, plasma concentrations of the B vitamin folate correspond to telomere length in both men and women. Folate plays an important role in the maintenance of DNA integrity and DNA methylation, both of which influence the length of your telomeresxiii.
10. Vitamin B12
Vitamin B12 is fittingly known as "the energy vitamin," and your body requires it for a number of vital functions. Among them: energy production, blood formation, DNA synthesis, and myelin formation. (Myelin is insulation that protects your nerve endings and allows them to communicate with one another.) Unfortunately, research suggests about 25 percent of American adults are deficient in this vitally important nutrient, and nearly half the population has suboptimal blood levels.Vitamin B12 is found almost exclusively in animal tissues, including foods like beef and beef liver, lamb, snapper, venison, salmon, shrimp, scallops, poultry and eggs.
11. Curcumin (Turmeric)
Curcumin – the active ingredient in the spice turmeric – acts both as an immune booster and potent anti-inflammatory. But perhaps its greatest value lies in its anti-cancer potential, and it has the most evidence based literature backing up its anti-cancer claims of any other nutrient. It affects over 100 different pathways once it gets into a cell – among them, a key biological pathway needed for development of melanoma and other cancers.
12. Vitamin A
According to the featured study in the Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry, telomere length is positively associated with dietary intake of vitamin A in women who do not take multivitaminsxiv. It plays an important role in your immune response, and if you're deficient, you become predisposed to infections that can promote telomere shortening. However, vitamin A does not appear to have a dose-dependent effect on telomere length, so you don't need high amounts. Two Additional Lifestyle Strategies that Affect Telomere Length
While a nutritious diet accounts for about 80 percent of the benefits derived from a healthy lifestyle, exercise cannot be ignored, and there's evidence suggesting that exercise protects against telomere shortening as well. Yet another lifestyle strategy that can have a beneficial impact is intermittent fasting.- Exercise – One recent study on post-menopausal women suffering from chronic stress found that "vigorous physical activity appears to protect those experiencing high stress by buffering its relationship with telomere length (TL)." xv In fact, among the women who did not exercise, each unit increase in the Perceived Stress Scale was related to a 15-fold increase in the odds of having short telomeres. Those who did exercise regularly showed no correlation between telomere length and perceived stress! High-intensity exercise appears to be the most effective all-natural approach to slow down the aging process by reducing telomere shortening. In fact, research has shown there's a direct association between reduced telomere shortening in your later years and high-intensity-type exercisesxvi: Greta Blackburn's book The Immortality Edge: Realize the Secrets of Your Telomeres for a Longer, Healthier Lifexvii further details the importance of high-intensity exercise to prevent telomere shortening.
- Intermittent Fasting – Previous research has shown that you can extend your lifespan by reducing your caloric intake, and I've written about this technique in the past. The problem is that most people do not understand how to properly cut calories, because in order to remain healthy, you have to cut out the right kind of calories – namely carbohydrates. Research by Professor Cynthia Kenyon has shown that avoiding carbs will activate genes that govern youthfulness and longevity. But the health benefits of calorie restriction can also be achieved by intermittent fasting (keep in mind you still need to cut out sugars and grains). For more detailed recommendations and guidance on intermittent fasting, or scheduled eating, please see this recent article that greatly expands on this complex topic, and highlights the precautions, as it certainly isn't for everyone.

Lindsey Williams, Global Currency Is Coming, No One Can Escape The Financial Fallout May 7 2012
Lindsey Williams took a few calls on his more recent interviews on TheAlexJonesChannel. Right to the point - Lindsey Williams might be more practical in his thinking that we realize. His position seems to be that Global Government, North American Union and the Elite being victorious is going to happen no matter what - we only need to prepare for it.America is no longer a Christian nation, its now a worldly nation with Christians in it. There are to many signs of ungodliness in the U.S. America is referred to in Jer 51, Rev 18 and so much more places in the bible. America is referred to as Babylon and the harlot . The golden cup of Jer 51 is referring to the U.S. the statue of liberty originally was designed to be holding a golden cup but was at the last minuet changed to a torch, its been proven.

10 Habits You Must Quit to Be Happy
When you quit doing the wrong things, you make more room for the things that make you happy. So starting today…
The secret to getting ahead is simply getting started. Starting, all by itself, is usually sufficient to build enough momentum to keep the ball rolling. So forget about the finish line and just concentrate on taking your first step. Say to yourself, “I choose to start this task with a small, imperfect step.” All those small steps will add up and you’ll actually get to see changes fairly quickly. Read Getting Things Done
.
And don’t forget, however good or bad a situation is now, it will change. That’s the one thing you can count on. So embrace it, and realize that change happens for a reason. It won’t always be easy or obvious at first, but in the end it will be worth it.
Some forces are out of your control, but you can control how you react to things. Everyone’s life has positive and negative aspects – whether you’re happy or not depends greatly on which aspects you focus on. The best thing you can do is to let go of what you can’t control, and invest your energy in the things you can – like your attitude.
As Henry Ford once stated, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right.” One of the major causes of why we fail is due to self-doubt and negative self-talk. The way to overcome negative thoughts and destructive emotions is to develop opposing, positive emotions that are stronger and more powerful. Listen to your self-talk and replace negative thoughts with positive ones, over time you will change the trajectory of your life. Read The How of Happiness
.
So stop worrying about the flaws you see in everyone else, and focus on yourself. Let the constant growth and improvement in your own life keep you so busy that you have no time left to criticize others.
Fears, in particularly, stop you from taking chances and making decisions. They keep you confined to just the small space where you feel completely comfortable. But your life’s story is simply the culmination of many small, unique experiences, many of which require you to stretch your comfort zone. Letting your fears and worries control you is not ‘living,’ it’s merely existing.
Bottom line: Either you own your problems and fears, or they will ultimately own you.
One of life’s sharpest paradoxes is that our brightest future hinges on our ability to pay attention to what we’re doing right now, today.
We need to live more in the moment. Living in the moment requires active, open, intentional awareness on the present. Don’t fantasize about being on vacation while at work, and don’t worry about the work piling up on your desk when you’re on vacation. Live for now. Notice the beauty unfolding around you.

No matter how good or bad you have it, wake up each day thankful for your life. Someone somewhere else is desperately fighting for theirs. Instead of thinking about what you’re missing, try thinking about what you have that everyone else is missing.
1. Quit procrastinating on your goals.
Some people dream of success while others wake up and work hard at it. Action and change are often resisted when they’re needed most. Get a hold of yourself and have discipline. Putting something off instantly makes it harder and scarier. What we don’t start today won’t be finished by tomorrow. And there’s nothing more stressful than the perpetual lingering of an unfinished task.
2. Quit blaming others and making excuses.
Stop blaming others for what you have or don’t have, or for what you feel or don’t feel. When you blame others for what you’re going through, you deny responsibility and perpetuate the problem. Stop giving your power away and start taking responsibility for your life. Blaming is just another sorry excuse, and making excuses is the first step towards failure; you and only you are responsible for your life choices and decisions.3. Quit trying to avoid change.
If nothing ever changed there would be no sunrise the next morning. Most of us are comfortable where we are even though the whole universe is constantly changing around us. Learning to accept this is vital to our happiness and general success. Because only when we change, do we grow, and begin to see a world we never knew was possible. And don’t forget, however good or bad a situation is now, it will change. That’s the one thing you can count on. So embrace it, and realize that change happens for a reason. It won’t always be easy or obvious at first, but in the end it will be worth it.
4. Quit trying to control the uncontrollable.
If you try to control everything, and then worry about the things you can’t control, you are setting yourself up for a lifetime of frustration and misery. Some forces are out of your control, but you can control how you react to things. Everyone’s life has positive and negative aspects – whether you’re happy or not depends greatly on which aspects you focus on. The best thing you can do is to let go of what you can’t control, and invest your energy in the things you can – like your attitude.
5. Quit talking down to yourself.
Nothing will bring you down quicker than berating yourself. The mind is a superb instrument if used right, but when used incorrectly, it becomes very destructive. Be aware of your mental self-talk. We all talk silently to ourselves in our heads, but we aren’t always conscious of what we’re saying or how it’s affecting us.As Henry Ford once stated, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right.” One of the major causes of why we fail is due to self-doubt and negative self-talk. The way to overcome negative thoughts and destructive emotions is to develop opposing, positive emotions that are stronger and more powerful. Listen to your self-talk and replace negative thoughts with positive ones, over time you will change the trajectory of your life. Read The How of Happiness
6. Quit criticizing others.
The negativity you bleed out toward others will gradually cripple your own happiness. When you truly feel comfortable with your own imperfections, you won’t feel threatened or offended by the imperfections you see in other people. So stop worrying about the flaws you see in everyone else, and focus on yourself. Let the constant growth and improvement in your own life keep you so busy that you have no time left to criticize others.
7. Quit running from your problems and fears.
Trust me, if everyone threw their problems in a pile for you to see, you would grab yours back. Tackle your problems and fears swiftly, don’t run away from them. The best solution is to face them head on no matter how powerful they may seem.Fears, in particularly, stop you from taking chances and making decisions.
8. Quit living in another time and place.
Some people spend their entire lives trying to live in another time and place. They lament about what has been, what they could have done, or what might become. However, the past is gone, and the future doesn’t exist. No matter how much time we spend thinking and lamenting about either, it doesn’t change anything.
9. Quit trying to be someone you’re not.
One of the greatest challenges in life is being yourself in a world that’s trying to make you like everyone else. Someone will always be prettier, someone will always be smarter, someone will always be younger, but they will never be you. Don’t change so people will like you. Be yourself and the right people will love you, and you’ll love yourself more too. The Road Less Traveled10. Quit being ungrateful.
Not all the puzzle pieces of life will seem to fit together at first, but in time you’ll realize they do, perfectly. So thank the things that didn’t work out, because they just made room for the things that will. And thank the ones who walked away from you, because they just made room for the ones who won’t.No matter how good or bad you have it, wake up each day thankful for your life. Someone somewhere else is desperately fighting for theirs. Instead of thinking about what you’re missing, try thinking about what you have that everyone else is missing.
